HOLY BALLS THE BULLS ARE GOING TO SIGN LEBRON JAMES AND CHRIS BOSH.

I hope so, but I feel like we're all setting up to be extremely disappointed.

Now another GM has come out and said that he believes that Bosh will sign with the Heat and that it's been planned for a while.

Nothing is done yet.

I think a lot is done by now we just don't know about, just a lot of misinformation out there as a smokescreen. As a Cleveland writer pointed out, all these meetings teams are scheduling with Lebron and the Knicks with Wade and Bosh and Johnson is illegal. They aren't supposed to have anything to do with these guys until July 1. I'm sure the Bulls have a good idea what they are getting. They wouldn't give Hinrich and a #1 away for nothing if they weren't just about assured they were getting 2 guys out of this FA class. Really, what is there to pitch here? The players advisors are aware of every teams' ability to get better and current roster. All these guys are familiar with each city. The max guys know what they will be getting paid. I think the Bulls are going to shock people one way or the other. Either Lebron and Bosh or Johnson or even Wade or something like Boozer and Johnson, which will dissappoint most especially if one of the other teams gets 2 or even 3 of the other guys, but will improve the Bulls.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but apparently the Knicks are planning on offering Joe Johnson a max contract, seems like a lot can be read into that.

wow, if that's true they must have heard nobody wants to go there

"48 hrs ago: sportsbook.com had LeBron at +125 to sign w/ Bulls. Bosh was +300. Now? They're both -500. Hmmmmmm."

I had to look it up.

For Lebron: Bulls are -500, Cavs, Knicks, Nets, +400, Clippers, Heat +1000

Wade: Heat -1000, Knicks +500, Bulls +1000

Bosh: Bulls -500, Heat +400, Knicks +500, Cavs/Rockets/Wizards +1000

Its too bad you can't get the plus odds to bet against it. At 5:1 it would be worth laying down a few bucks.

They could definitely be a playoff team if they add Johnson and Boozer, but prob not much more than that.

yeah, they would be in NBA middle ground hell, perpetual 6-8 seed and no chance at any impact in the draft.

Because it's NYC and even on a sucky team that's some serious endorsement money.

yeah, but the mega endorsement money is going to come from the big national companies and I think Nike and the like will pay them the same if they're in NY or Chi

Deng=yuck. That contract extension was questionable at best when it was originally signed. If that turns out to prohibit us from being able to sign both Lebron and Bosh (we still don't have the cap space to sign two max free agents) I'll puke every day for the rest of my life.

both Brussard and Bucher were on ESPN radio this week and basically said it's only a formality that they don't have the 2 full decks right now, they said it would get done if needed.

The fact that LBJ has decided on everyone coming to him instead of making the trips tells me he's basically made up his mind and doesn't want to waste time. I still think the scenario of him giving the Cav's a 3 year deal is realistic, but hopefully it's the Bulls and it's quick

I actually heard today on espn radio that there are plenty of people who believe LeBron would be very open to playing with Johnson.

LBJ and Joe Johnson with the NYK roster isn't all that great IMO. If he signs with the Bulls, trying not to be biased here, LBJ, Rose, Noah and the rest are a better team, and the Bulls could add Joe Johnson or another guy of Lebron's choosing.

The most intriguing news I've heard is the gambling site that drastically shifted its odds that quickly, that doesn't seem like a reaction to just money coming in, but something they may have heard

Oh, I was just stating that New York courting (no pun intended) Joe Johnson may not be some sort of sign of concession by them...

I know there is a salary cap is basketball and all, so this is different, but I can't help but feel a bit like the New York Yankees right now...:)

Chad Ford gives this funny story on Simmons podcast:

LeBron heard that after every Bulls game MJ went to Gibson's Steakhouse and sat at a specific table with a specific waiter. When in Chicago, Lebron goes to Gibson's and sits at that table with that waiter.

During the Chicago draft camp Chad Ford went to Gibson's, found the waiter, and asked him what he thought about Lebron. The waiter told him Lebron is coming, that Lebron had told him to reserve this table for him.
