EvilJester99
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) My heart is pounding. I really can't take this. The next 46 hours will be hell. I am just thinking he will stay in Cleveland and am hoping all this waiting doesn't screw the Bulls with Wade....I know they can't help but wait here... WHarris1
Can he really hold a 1 hour long ESPN special/press conference and return to Cleveland?

Steve9347
This is pretty f***ing nuts that the guy gets a special to announce his decision. I can't believe that Stern/NBA are ok with that.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 09:05 PM) Can he really hold a 1 hour long ESPN special/press conference and return to Cleveland? Yes, he can. That's who Lebron is. I deleted the post I had just made. I can't see him figuratively s***ting in the faces of Cleveland like that. He's staying with the Cavs.
Soxbadger
Could do an elimination show. Have it start with 4 teams, end with Bulls/Cavs, Lebron picks Cavs. Not that hard to imagine them milking an hour over anything.
WHarris1
Just because he's doing it in Ohio doesn't guarantee hes resigning. Where else could he have it? If he scheduled it somewhere else traveled there etc, it would be leaked long before the decision was announced
Real
KCJHoop This just in: Brad Miller will follow with his free-agent decision on The Outdoor Channel after LeBron. Skoal and Budweiser are sponsors. 3 minutes ago via TweetDeck oh you

I can't believe that Stern/NBA are ok with that. I wonder if they're going to be multiple hats in front of him (ala when a top HS recruit chooses a college)? That would be the final straw for me. Either way, Lebron is going to be one hated mofo when this is all said and done.

Did MJ hold a 1-hour press conference to announce his comeback in '95? Man I wish Lebron was just simply a very, very good basketball player. I really can't stand him. Give me Kobe any f***ing day over this b****.

That would be the final straw for me. Either way, Lebron is going to be one hated mofo when this is all said and done. I bet he will. This is all an act so he can do the college recruiting thing he never got the chance to originally. And he was brilliant to make the proceeds go to charity since that means most won't rip on him. Well I will, he's still a dick, and when he picks the Cavaliers hat, i'll say it even moreso.

Buehrle>Wood
2 things: 1. LeBron isn't going to hold a primetime presser and spit in the face of Cleveland like that. I doubt he's even that big of a dick. 2. I can't see him going back unless he knows he can win. Maybe there's something more to this...? And I mean in the ways of Cleveland. But question, isn't that the day the Hinirch move is official? QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:20 AM) Like I said, I would be content if he chose Cleveland. whitesoxfan101
What more could there be to it? Bosh won't go to Cleveland. I think he's just doing what he does best: being an attention whore.
Soxbadger
If Lebron can get his own special, hed be stupid not to take it. Its not the regular season where it may impact his game play. Even if he plays till 40, he has a limited shelf life on his career. Hopefully he has good financial advisors who are telling him that he should cash in while hes King, because you never should bet on tomorrow. Its going to charity, but it just increases his image and popularity, which potentially increases his endorsements. I have no problem with it. Its the NBA's fault for having this week where no one could sign. If Lebron comes to the Bulls Ill be happy, if he stays in Cleveland, Ill understand. whitesoxfan101
He couldn't have possibly handled this worse. And my question is this: is he doing this special because it'll make money for charity, or is he doing it to get himself more attention? If you can honestly answer the former, then ok. But you can't. Soxbadger
Handled it worse? Hes been completely silent, he met with the teams he was interested in and gave a definitive time for his decision. Seems pretty professional to me. Hes making a decision that could change the rest of his life and career. Maybe he is leaving Cleveland and he feels he owes them an answer. If he leaves Cleveland like this, I actually think it'd be a lot more disrespectful than it would be if he announces he's staying like this. As for handling it well, I thought early on he was handling it well, in fact I thought he was the only one that was. But to announce like this is garbage.
