whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) Guy just remember even if we don't get Lebron, the following two lineups are still probably a top 3-4 seed in the East. Rose Allen Deng Boozer Noah Rose Reddick Deng Boozer Noah. So like I said earlier we would basically be the Atlanta Hawks. A solid team that makes the playoffs and 2nd round but with no chance to win a title. Not a great position to be in.
Steve9347
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:03 PM) I still think were getting LeBron. I said it yesterday and I'm sticking to it. I'm out till 10 pm though guys. Hopefully this thread won't balloon to 300 pages when I get back. I see the guys FA thinking. LeBron/Boozer and Wade/Bosh. The next great rivalry of the NBA to challenge Kobe. Noah/Rose and Beasley/Chalmers And thus it becomes a no-brainer.
SoxFan562004
B & B made a few interesting points, Boers thinks this move alone makes the Bulls equal or better than the Heat, this was a move to help counter any momentum the Knicks may have gained with Amar'e and it is official that they have a max left
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) So like I said earlier we would basically be the Atlanta Hawks. A solid team that makes the playoffs and 2nd round but with no chance to win a title. Not a great position to be in. Boers would call that NBA Hell. Frankly, there's worse places to be. Essentially, we're the mid-90's New York Knicks.
chw42
I know Amar'e is better than Boozer, but god damn, the Knicks overpaid. We're getting a comparable player at $20 million less.

ThunderBolt
Also, for anyone who wants to bring up Boozer being injury prone. Two words: Taj Gibson. This is wonderful.
Steve9347
We have the best roster and the country's most powerful man in our corner. LeBron, make the right choice.
fathom
Ace, I'm fine with this signing considering what was left. I hate his game, but you can't argue with his production or chest hair.
ThunderBolt
Keep in mind that the Nets wanted Boozer too. This could have turned into a bidding war, but it didn't. There's something at play here.

A solid team that makes the playoffs and 2nd round but with no chance to win a title. Not a great position to be in. you're ignoring the fact that this is a young team getting better and better, while the "favorites" are getting older and older. If this move (w/o lebron) sets us up for a run in 2 seasons for a couple of titles, it's totally worth it.

Big Hurtin
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) Yes, it's the EXACT number they needed to leave room for Bron Bron. Edited July 7, 2010 by Big Hurtin
Soxbadger
Boozer could have taken slightly less if he was told it would guarantee Lebron. Its odd he signed for the exact number that would make Lebron max contract possible.

This could have turned into a bidding war, but it didn't. There's something at play here. Right. If I wasn't a Bulls fan, I'd feel that him not taking a max contract(I'm sure he could have got one) means that he knows something.

All this talk about superheroes and their sidekicks, if Rose pans out to be a superstar Boozer and Noah should be good enough compliments to easily challenge Bosh/Wade. The Bulls must have really sold him on playing with LeBron again or something of that sort.

Steve9347
Guys. How could LeBron say no to joining our stacked roster? I don't see it happening! Clevelend + mommy banger? New York + Danillo + Amare? Miami + Wade + Bosh? Chicago + Rose + Boozer + Noah? New Jersey + 12 wins? ThunderBolt
The worst thing that could happen is Lebron going to Miami. Every other scenario has the Bulls making a legitmate play for the top seed in the East, year in and year out.
