thxfrthmmrs
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) I've seen reports that they actually stayed good friends despite that incident. they could be good friends off the court, but I think Boozer lost some of his credibility to Lebron when it comes to basketball. If I am Lebron, I can't fully trust Boozer's commitment to the team again.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:28 PM) irrelevant is a strong word I used, but I couldn't see them contending for a championship, even with those two, not even mentioning health questions with Amar'e Amare and Lebron is good enough to make the playoffs. Add in the fact that they have a couple other pieces and would probably have some left-over money to add in another guy or two and well, you never know. A year from now they'll be much better too. They are in as good of shape as the Heat, if not better, imo. Plsu they technically still have a huge asset in David Lee. They could sign and trade him somewhere else using his bird rights, or at least I believe they could.
lostfan
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) they also had been teammates on the Cavs in 2003, then Boozer left Lebron hanging by bolting for the Jazz. Would Lebron really take Boozer serious on free agency matters again? Boozer was pretty slimy with how he left Cleveland, he had a gentlemen's agreement with ownership that he was going to re-sign with Cleveland after he opted out (mutual option I guess) and he turned around and left for more $$ in Utah. Chisoxfn
KCJHoop This is already in this story. But Boozer's deal is closer to $75-76 million and preserves max salary slot. I'd say it is pretty legit. Now lets hope Boozer is able to set up another meeting with LBJ and convince him to join Chicago!!!
thxfrthmmrs
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:31 PM) well he's on the Bulls for 5 years and they played on the redeem team on the same court 2 years ago boozer wasn't the reason why USA won the medal. he was only a small part of it. Boozer just appears to me as a guy who doesn't work hard on defense, doesn't come through when it matters, and sometimes loses interest to the game. Let's say if Boozer calls up Lebron and say, hey Bron come join me in Chicago, I am committed to winning just as you are, I will help you get that ring! Lebron would be like bulls***, you are about the money more than anything. I hope it's not the case, but it could be in Lebron's mind. Strongly disagree with you on this, if not just because having LBJ, Wade and Bosh will make it easier to get a few ring hunter vets to come in for a little cheaper. I could see someone giving Lee a full boat, but no S & T at this point, it would be an all time historically bad contract

Soxbadger
The best thing for his Legacy would be to go to New Jersey and dominate the Knicks from Brooklyn and have Jay-Z write anthems about him. If you want legacy, Jay can make you immortal.

He got flamed I think in the 09 postseason for being too soft and not hustling and attacking the basket during a playoff game.

Also he's a power forward, he needs a good PG to make the most out of him offensively, not comparing Deron Williams and D Rose, but Rose is a good PG Edited July 7, 2010 by SoxFan562004

I could see someone giving Lee a full boat, but no S & T at this point, it would be an all time historically bad contract A S&T doesn't have to be a max deal though. I can't see why a team wouldn't be potentially interested in a S&T. The Bulls will have some trade flexibility as well due to the potential S&T with Hakeem Warrick which will get us back a trade exception as well as our deal with the Wizards for Hinrich. These exceptions can't be combined, however, it could be used to do S&T's with other teams (maybe a Mike Miller or a JJ Reddick, etc). We could get LBJ signed and than use our trade exception and a draft pick to land Reddick in a S&T (if Orlando doesn't want him).
iamshack
Let's face it, winning titles in NY is the #1 legacy builder for any sports professional. Let's just hope he sees it as much more realistic to win them in Chitown.

It would be great if signing Lebron can get more commitment out of him. Edited July 7, 2010 by thxfrthmmrs
