SoxAce
I'm out till 10:30. This is bulls***... please Bulls, Lakers, Celtics (I can't believe I'm rooting for them) Magic, Thunder, ANYONE beat the Heat and deny them a title forever.
fathom
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 02:50 AM) I gotta say, I want to hear if passing on Wade to gamble on LeBron really is true. Paxson and the others should be fired on the spot if true. At this point, it seems there was nothing keeping those 3 apart.
Palehosefan
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) This makes them a 65 win team and it makes them the HEAVY favorites to win the title. The people you talked about might be douchebags, but they have not killed the NBA. That just doesn't make sense. The Lakers STILL have more talent than the Heat right now. Unless Pat Riley can work some magic, the Lakers are going to go into the season with more talent. Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum, Artest is without a doubt still greater than LeBron, Wade, and Bosh. Unless the Heat find someone to defend 7 footers, it's going to be a struggle against Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol etc.
kapkomet
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) I'm not really upset about LeBron going to Miami... I'm upset about Bosh, Wade, and LeBron pretending like they didn't know they were all going to Miami from the beginning, and f***ing with everybody for 2 weeks years. fixed that for you. Steve9347
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) Let's put it this way. They bet everything and lost. They gambled the last 2 years of their franchise and the next 3+ years of their franchise on being able to win one of the top 3 guys this offseason, and couldn't figure out that the top 3 guys had all decided 2 years ago at the olympics that they wanted to play together. They could have won more games the last few years if they hadn't been going for cap space, and decided to go for the cap space instead. For that decision, they got the rights to give a terrible contract to Carlos Boozer. If that's not a fireable offense, then I don't know what is. Regardless, we got rid of Kirk! ZoomSlowik
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) I actually really like Zoom's idea of trading for Rip Hamilton actually. No he's not the ideal 3 point sniper, but basically a 2 point version of Ray Allen who comes off screens and back screens and shoots at an efficient rate. Add defense to the equation and you got a good player to pair with Rose and sign a sniper for the bench that a team can't match his RFA rights (in other words.. overpay a bit) like Morrow or Redick. I think the Bulls should really look into this. Ha, that was yesterday I think. It was also on the assumption that Lebron would be playing SF, kind of moot to trade one mid-range shooter for another. I think the problem is that they overestimated the maturity and intelligence with which these twentysomething year old kids would handle the process. Instead of hiring intelligent people around them, they've decided to listen to their friends and try and form an NBA dynasty as if this were one of their AAU summer leagues. Unfortunately, it's not. And it's going to really hurt their own legacies and the NBA as a whole.

Balta1701
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) You're talking about the Knicks not the Bulls. The Bulls spent two years developing promising young talent while making the playoffs twice. There were no guarantees only chances. The Bulls took a chance. They lost but they didn't lose badly. The Knicks should be firing their management also. So should the Bulls.

ZoomSlowik
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) This is not going to give Miami championships, it just makes them a strong contender. The Lakers still have two top 10 guys and arguably 4 top 25 guys in the NBA. The Bulls have a loaded roster, as do the Thunder etc. Nothing is given. Believing so is silly and foolish. 4? Who's the other one? Bynum is already a stretch for the top-25, I have no idea who the other one is. Artest? Odom?
