ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) And that's why the teams that were bidding were played for suckers and should lose their jobs. Oh, please. The Bulls would have been idiots not to take a chance at landing elite talent. At the expense of what? Salmons, Gordon and Hinrich? Soxbadger
Riley promised Lebron some guys I feel Shaq will be the first piece. Shaq C Bosh PF Then theyll get a PG and have 5 stars. Maybe theyll win, but theyll never been considered the best team ever and none of them will ever be the best player. Always fun to shoot for almost the best. As Jay-Z would say: "Rank me among the greats, either 1, 2 or 3 If I ain't number one then I failed you victory." Lebron will never be 1, 2 or 3 after today
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) Knicks are in great position though to get Carmelo at least Not really. I think this is more of the Mecca entitlement. He's going to re-up with Denver.

lostfan
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) I had this discussion earlier with my best friend. I think the problem is that they overestimated the maturity and intelligence with which these twentysomething year old kids would handle the process. Instead of hiring intelligent people around them, they've decided to listen to their friends and try and form an NBA dynasty as if this were one of their AAU summer leagues. Unfortunately, it's not. And it's going to really hurt their own legacies and the NBA as a whole. All of the other NBA greats (Jordan, Magic, Bird, and yes, Kobe) created their own legacies, they didn't all collude to go to the same team (something owners can't get away with btw) to make it easy to win a championship. Something I'm really sold on yet btw.
Quin
I honestly think that the Heat will always flame out in the playoffs unless a lot of old vets get desperate and go for min. contracts.

kjshoe04
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) totally disagree, especially given Wade's injuries in the past. Honestly. I don't get this decision. Rose will be better than Wade within 2 years and the rest of the Heat is garbage besides Bosh. Him not going back to Cleveland angers me a lot more than him not joining the Bulls. This is all about him wanting to play with his friends.
knightni
Cleveland fans are some of the worst and most classless fans in sports. They made Modell move, booed Thome and will soon be burning LeBron's house down.
Soxbadger
What we found out is Lebron isnt Jay-Z, he isnt Kobe, isnt Shaq, he isnt Magic or Bird. Hell hes not even Isaih. Hes Kevin Garnett. How quickly the mighty fall.

And it's going to really hurt their own legacies and the NBA as a whole. They are pretty well versed on the maturity levels of these guys and have been for years. I was somewhere with an old Bulls trainer many years ago. He actually spoke about the lack of maturity with the Bulls and the roster included Jordan. He said there were only 2 players the team would send out to speaking functions because they were the only players that could handle it, and MJ wasn't one. Quin
Another thing: MJ, Kobe, Bird, Magic...all of them are laughing. They know LeBron wimped out and can't make a legacy on his own, and Wade will always have one more ring.

knightni
Time for the Bulls to scout the Western Conference for a few vets and build the team to outlast Miami with sheer depth.

zenryan
I might need to take a break from the internet for the weekend. Since I'm a Hurricanes fan, I go to a Miami forum daily and some are going nuts. Already talking about breaking the 72-10 record.
