Soxbadger
There was some youtube footage of Rose working out posted in this thread. You didnt see a lot of the shots, but you could tell by the form that hed been working hard.
Quin
http://www.nba.com/summerleague/games/2010...I/gameinfo.html Bulls on the Summer League Roster of note: James Johnson: 7 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, 6 fouls Joe Alexander: DNP (injury most likely) John Lucas III: 25 points, 3 assists, 9-12 from the field, 6-6 from behind the arc Derrick Byars: 0 points Chris Richard: 3 points, 7 rebounds Matt Bouldin: 8 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 2-5, 2-4 from behind the arc Lucas seems to be making a case for back up PG. He's 27, has NBA experience, but is playing out his mind right now.
fathom
Only problem with Lucas is he can't play defense to save his life. Just ask Oklahoma State about his defense of a certain Pistons guard!!
Soxbadger
I think Bouldin has a shot to make the team. Hes a gritty player who may not be the best athlete but can do most of the little things. He also is kind of a jerk so a great guy to put on the other teams best player.
SoxAce
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 09:45 PM) Derrick Rose, a guy who is always shy to be boastful: I might have just jizzed. This is the same guy who guaranteed the last playoff spot (and we would be facing Cleveland to boot) so you better not go against that man's word. That would do wonders for the Bulls this season. SoxFan1
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) I think Bouldin has a shot to make the team. Hes a gritty player who may not be the best athlete but can do most of the little things. He also is kind of a jerk so a great guy to put on the other teams best player. Uh, no thanks. He got burned by Bledsoe pretty bad tonight. Lucas looked REALLY good. I think he was 5/5 from the arc tonight and displayed really good court awareness. His defense on Blesdoe was actually pretty good. He was by far the most impressive player tonight. Almond had a bad 1st half and an better 2nd half. I only remember Bouldin taking 2 shots but he hit both for 3. Plaisted looked really good down low. In other words, don't count on anything from our summer league guys. With Livingston off the market, I'd like one of CJ Watson or Will Bynum as the backup PG. Bynum is a Chicago guy too, went to Crane. Get Bynum, Brewer, and bring Miller back and call it a day. If you can't get Redick, get Barnes.
fathom
Bynum would be a GREAT addition, but I heard the Pistons wanted to re-sign him.
Soxbadger
Well Bledsoe would be the exact opposite style of player youd match up Bouldin with. Bouldin is a bigger guard. Im not basing this off of summer league, basing it off of watching him on Gonzaga last year.

SoxFan1
Also, the Bulls made an offer to Raja Bell (2 years, "in excess of 8 mil) but he ultimately chose Utah for 3/10.
SoxAce
I like one of the quotes from a poster on realgm. So Derrick Rose can develop a 3 point shot in 2 months, but Deng can't develop one in 5 years? lol
Quin
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 10:39 PM) I like one of the quotes from a poster on realgm. Rose with a 3-point shot will be lethal. Absolutely lethal.

fathom
sf1, Pistons are going to be re-signing Bynum in the next few days. Sounds like Wade talked his buddy into waiting to see if the Heat would have cap room, but they won't.

I've said for two years that Wade had no intention of coming to the Bulls, and sadly, it seems like the information was correct. I give Wade credit though, he's the most powerful person in the NBA now.

Let me tell you, whatever you've heard about Dwyane Wade, multiply it times 5 (maybe even 10) and only then do you have the real story. Classic con man and has been for years, but now the whole world knows it. He's a heck of a player and has built a heck of a basketball team around himself though, I'll give him that. But just a bad guy. Edited July 15, 2010 by whitesoxfan101
