chw42
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Carlos Boozer has Ben Wallace written all over it. He WILL NOT be a 20/10 guy in Chicago away from Sloan/DWill. If it gets you LeBron, who cares?
StrangeSox
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) Cleveland has everything he needs. New York makes no sense basketball wise. If he wants to win NOW it should be Miami for a couple years. But there's no way in hell Chicago has a chance. makes no sense for him to be a Bull. None. What, exactly, does Cleveland have that NY, Chi or Miami don't? Certainly not a better roster or better money-making potential.
RockRaines
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:08 PM) I have. He's not close to being Deron Williams. How so? Because he avg's 3 more assists than Rose does? D Rose is a much better scorer and actually already a shooter than Williams is.
HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:04 PM) An address for some kind of agency which may be connected with him has changed. It probably means very little. Ok. I just heard about it inpassing.
greg775
What, exactly, does Cleveland have that NY, Chi or Miami don't? Certainly not a better roster or better money-making potential. Cleveland is his home. He's not going to spurn Cleveland when he can make just as much or more money there than anywhere else. Money making potential? He's Tiger Woods pre scandal. He can make zillions anywhere. He's not going to leave Cleveland for New York. Chicago makes absolutely no sense. He'll be so hated.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:59 PM) Melo getting married in NY is supposedly the reason LeBron is holding the thing near NY tomorrow, according to ESPN. LBJ had dinner with Houston and Amare tonight.
Vote4Pedro
ZachZaidman RT @Seth_Everett: LeBron James was apparently at Sparks in NYC with Amare Stoudamire and Allan Houston this evening. 4 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry

Yeah, I actually don't know if I buy the whole "market" idea, LeBron is going to be able to make a ton off endorsements wherever he goes. StrangeSox
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:14 PM) Cleveland is his home. But they don't have a good roster and he likely can't win there. If winning is that important to him, CHI, NY or MIA make more sense. He's not going to spurn Cleveland when he can make just as much or more money there than anywhere else. Money making potential? He's Tiger Woods pre scandal. He can make zillions anywhere. Which is a bigger market with more fans: Cleveland or Chicago? Cleveland or NY? You're just acting stupid if you don't think there's a difference there. He's not going to leave Cleveland for New York. Chicago makes absolutely no sense. He'll be so hated. He'll be hated by Cleveland if he goes anywhere. I think he'll *probably* stick around Cleveland. But your "arguments" here are worse than your Dweezy rationale. StrangeSox
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:18 PM) Yeah, I actually don't know if I buy the whole "market" idea, LeBron is going to be able to make a ton off endorsements wherever he goes. He's going to make a ton of money no matter what. But it's undeniable that going to Chicago or New York gives him access to a much larger fan base and a much larger local market. There will be millions more people interested in buying Lebron jerseys, shoes, haircare/beverage/food/etc products he's selling if he's on the Knicks as opposed to the Cavs.

He's not going to leave Cleveland for New York. Chicago makes absolutely no sense. He'll be so hated. Chicago makes the most sense by far. As you said he can get rich anywhere. Im under the impression LeBron James considers himself to be in the discussion for best basketball player of all time when he retires. If he goes to Miami he will NEVER be in that conversation. Also, if he stays in Cleveland he will be lucky to win 1 championship with the way the east is shaping up.

DBAHO
News on Redick; Also, a final note from Stan Van Gundy's time with the media earlier today. The Magic will match any reasonable offer for restricted free agent J.J. Reddick. The mid-level exception will not be enough to pry him away. The Magic view him as an integral part to their success despite the fact that he doesn't play big minutes every night. It's the exact same stance they took on Marcin Gortat last offseason, so unless a ridiculous offer from a team with cap space comes along expect Reddick to remain a Magic.
