SoxFan1
I'm bracing myself (damn near expecting) for Boozer and Johnson becoming Bulls. All this Lebron and Bosh stuff just seems too good to be true.
SoxFan1
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 08:03 PM) Jalen Rose tweets that Raports taking Davis is setting up for Bosh leaving. It was hypothetical.
justBLAZE
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 08:05 PM) It was hypothetical. Well isn't everything hypothetical till papers are signed though?
Quin
I love the Knicks fans reaction.
SoxFan1
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Well isn't everything hypothetical till papers are signed though? I meant his tweet, he didn't say anything definitive: "#nba The Raptors drafting ED Davis at #13 makes me feel like they know that they are going to LOSE Chris Bosh...hmmm stay tuned"
Quin
I love how Stern said "listen to this" Kinda douchey of the Knicks fans to chant USA... ...he's still going to Wizards, so it doesn't matter.
SoxFan1
And the "Bulls" "select" Seraphin at 17.
Soxbadger
That pick makesme think its not so certain that 17 is part of an alleged Hinrich deal. I cant see why Washington would want a project like that, makes more sense for the Bulls who want to save cap space.
kev211
QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) Can't believe Osiris Eldridge hasn't been drafted yet. I laughed.
Soxbadger
Tribune is making it seem like the deal for Hinrich si basically done, so odd choice by Washington but they are the Wizards fora reason
Quin
Kevin Pritchard fired as Blazers GM...seems odd.

Soxbadger
Sounds like a future 2nd. Just a straight salary dump
Quin
I'm seriously incredibly sad about Kirk moving. He was my second favorite player after Noah. I seriously still wish Deng magically got moved and Kirk didn't.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) I'm seriously incredibly sad about Kirk moving. He was my second favorite player after Noah. I seriously still wish Deng magically got moved and Kirk didn't. Meh. I really soured on Hinrich after '07. He got paid and did nothing but regress (maybe he wasn't that good to begin with). He won't be difficult to replace.
SoxFan1
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) Meh. I really soured on Hinrich after '07. He got paid and did nothing but regress (maybe he wasn't that good to begin with). He won't be difficult to replace. Yes he will. Team leader, great defense, versatile, good shooter. Ya, he was inconsistent and overpaid. But at 4 or 5 millions we'd love him, but at 9+, we didn't.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Yes he will. Team leader, great defense, versatile, good shooter. Ya, he was inconsistent and overpaid. But at 4 or 5 millions we'd love him, but at 9+, we didn't. He'd be a great backup combo guard on a good team. For a team like the Bulls, he was more of a hindrance than an asset. And yes, the contract was a big part of that. But there was no way around that. His play didn't come close to justifying his pay. I won't miss him. Edited June 25, 2010 by Jordan4life
whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Yes he will. Team leader, great defense, versatile, good shooter. Ya, he was inconsistent and overpaid. But at 4 or 5 millions we'd love him, but at 9+, we didn't. He is not a great defender and he is an average shooter at best by NBA standards. Yeah. He's a try-hard defender and a streak shooter. Big difference. Either way, I'm glad he's gone or will be gone. Hopefully a lesson has been learned. You don't overpay for try-hard guys or specialists.
SoxFan1
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) He'd be a great backup combo guard on a good team. For a team like the Bulls, he was more of a hindrance than an asset. And yes, the contract was a big part of that. But there was no way around that. His play didn't come close to justifying his pay. I won't miss him. I'll miss him either way. At the time of the deal, it seemed like a great contract. He was improving, as were the Bulls, and he actually lived up to his pay in the 1st season of the deal, helping us sweep Miami in the playoffs and having career highs in 07, but like you said, since then its gone downhill and its a shame. GoodAsGould
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) He is not a great defender and he is an average shooter at best by NBA standards. He is definitely a great defender partly because he can guard 3 positions but I agree he is too inconsistant to be considered a good shooter. Buehrle>Wood
I wish the Bulls had a second rounder to grab Born Ready.
Quin
My brother is saddening to me. He, like me, loves Kirk. He ONLY wanted D-Wade as a FA. He really DOES NOT want LBJ, Bosh, or JJ.
WilliamTell
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 07:25 PM) Gordon Hayward going to Utah . . . seems like a Jerry Sloan type player. Yep, he's a hard nose player. And he's white, haha. They keep getting whiter!
