Brian
I'd be calling Denver now about Melo. Package around Deng and picks. Possibly Taj

hitlesswonder
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) I've always liked Kobe, for some reason. Of course, I liked Bonds also. I'm hoping the Lakers get Phil one more ring next year. Maybe the Bulls should trade Rose to the Lakers for Fisher just out of spite.... Possibly Taj I'd offer Noah as the key part. Nuggets won't trade Carmelo for Deng and Taj, etc.
ThunderBolt
“I remain convinced that this organization made the strongest of bids to acquire LeBron James during this free agency period. While we’re disappointed he chose to go to another franchise, our strategy for the future competitiveness of this organization did not begin or end with James, and we feel today’s addition of two-time All-Star Carlos Boozer significantly strengthens our team's already talented roster. It is our goal to keep exploring every avenue that it may take, whether through trades or free agency, to continue to build this team to compete at a championship level.” Gar Forman statement

Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) So, there's no reason for anyone to watch basketball this year, right? I can think of one. But I don't want shack to suspend me. So no.
ZoomSlowik
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Lamar Odom. Career 15, 9, and 4 guy that can defend, distribute, and score when needed. He's still not close to top-25. Hell, I can't think of a single team where he would be their best player (maybe the now craptastic Cavaliers), so that's at least 30. chw42
QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Bigger question -- what the f*** are ESPN and LeBron James doing associating with the "University" of Phoenix? Didn't you hear? LeBron's going to college!
iamshack
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:00 PM) They are pretty well versed on the maturity levels of these guys and have been for years. I was somewhere with an old Bulls trainer many years ago. He actually spoke about the lack of maturity with the Bulls and the roster included Jordan. He said there were only 2 players the team would send out to speaking functions because they were the only players that could handle it, and MJ wasn't one. You really don't think the Bulls were going to ask Michael to go out on "speaking engagements," do you? As if the guy didn't do enough for them already? DA, I respect what you're saying here, but they clearly misunderstood who they had to be selling this to...bringing in 4 stodgy white guys probably was not the best way to sell LeBron and his "team." I think that much is clear considering how quickly he glossed over the Bulls when asked about them.

iamshack
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:05 PM) I feel terrible for my hatred of Kobe over the years. I've always liked Kobe actually. Despite his blatant obsession with Jordan (down to every freaking mannerism), one thing it has taught him is how to act with class and like a gentleman. This is all the more apparent now. Soxbadger
Didnt the Heat send a bunch of white guys? The difference was Wade/Bosh pitching Lebron. If Rose was a little more established he probably can pull in lebron. If youre a bulls fan and a nba fan, you just gotta believe that there are coaches out there right now trying to figure out a way to beat the Heat. I don't think the Bulls had much of a shot at Lebron. And I have to think that Wade's "interest" in the Bull was just BS.
