Chi Town Sox
I liked that video that was posted, had the same look on his face from when he scored his first bucket to when he scored his 40th point. Just doin' work
SoxFan1
Looks like the Bulls still have about 4.4 million remaining under the cap.

Either of the 3 would be solid additions pending the price. Though I think Asik will be a solid addition.
dasox24
Always nice to add a UT boy to the Bulls' roster (Watson). There aren't many in the Association right now, but that will be changing soon. Definitely a very solid choice as the backup PG.
ThunderBolt
The Bulls can actually run Rose plays when Watson is in the lineup. Watson has good handles and a nice jumpshot.

Watson has good handles and a nice jumpshot. I also think Watson could run the team if Rose misses some time due to injury. I am happy with both moves. whitesoxfan101
Well, you can't accuse the Bulls of not being deep enough. And they still have enough cash to add another decent guy or two. I can't see them overcoming the Heat anytime soon, but I think the Bulls are setup to be competitive with anybody else in the conference in the coming years. SoxAce
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 11:09 PM) The Bulls can actually run Rose plays when Watson is in the lineup. Watson has good handles and a nice jumpshot. I would think they would run more plays for Watson at the 2 than Rose, even undersized. Don't need to hamper Derrick's development there. But I agree with ya. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) Well, you can't accuse the Bulls of not being deep enough. And they still have enough cash to add another decent guy or two. Definitely. Give me one more center and one more sniper (maybe Mason Jr. unless the Bulls feel Watson, Deng, improved Rose etc.. is good enough), and I'll be content with the off-season. SoxFan1
Man, I wonder if there was any way possible to get Xavier Henry from Memphis. Or what the price is for Rudy Fernandez.
Quin
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 12:54 AM) Man, I wonder if there was any way possible to get Xavier Henry from Memphis. Or what the price is for Rudy Fernandez. The price for Rudy should be a first & second rounder max. Henry would probably cost us something like the Charlotte Pick (will likely be more valuable then ours) + 3 second rounders Ideally, I'd like to get: Henry + Shaq, if Shaq was handled like in Phoenix and missed like 1 out of every 4 games to rest. Rudy + Shaq would be good too. or Mason Jr. + Thomas would be good. Edited July 20, 2010 by Quinarvy
Balta1701
I still think Shaq is a very bad fit for the Bulls roster.

chw42
Really like the Watson deal. He's a solid backup who will put up nearly average PER numbers. Get one more big and the team is set. Edited July 20, 2010 by chw42
chw42
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 08:42 AM) I still think Shaq is a very bad fit for the Bulls roster. Griffey was a horrible fit for the Sox back in 08 and a lot of people were still okay with it. I want to see Shaq in a Bulls jersey for the hell of it TBH with you. whitesoxfan101
I honestly have no idea what I'd think if the Bulls signed Shaq. I'd lean towards being against it though because he looked so terrible in Cleveland last year, they were better when he wasn't on the floor. nitetrain8601
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 11:03 AM) I honestly have no idea what I'd think if the Bulls signed Shaq. I'd lean towards being against it though because he looked so terrible in Cleveland last year, they were better when he wasn't on the floor. Agree and Disagree. The Cavs were better when he was off the floor, but that's due to two reasons. One is the Cavs love to push the ball because they cannot run any efficient halfcourt sets. The only thing they knew how to do was give the ball to LeBron and let him create by driving and getting to the FT. With Shaq, that's all they did as well when he was on the floor and they never really moved without the ball in the halfcourt. Shaq was still getting opposing centers in early foul trouble and he was still a decent option on the floor. I'd certainly thinking about bringing him in. Him and Boozer would flat out handle Bosh and whoever else you throw next to him.
Balta1701
But Shaq, at last report, still wants assurances of a healthy slice of playing time as well as a salary that starts above the $5.8 million mid-level exception, which can be achieved through a sign-and-trade with Cleveland. No team out there, including Atlanta, is known to be willing to pay Shaq more than $2 million for next season. Link

I think the Bulls will be able to run very solid halfcourt sets this year, and Shaq could fit in there. But even with Thibs defense first mindset, this is a team built to run a lot of fast break, and Shaq might be left in the dust yet again on such a squad. Balta1701
Also from that last link: • The Clippers do have legit interest in McGrady and are scheduled to work him out Tuesday. As Clips general manager Neil Olshey told ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Ramona Shelburne last week: "Tracy and I have a good relationship. We've known each other for a long time. He and Baron [Davis] have a good relationship [and] we obviously have a need for playmaking and scoring on the wings.” But sources say that news of the workout being made public was also intended to let the Bulls know that McGrady does have other options, since Chicago is where those close to McGrady say he’d love to land.
