Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) I get the feeling familiarity breeds contempt unless its an absolute stud like Rose. There really is no reason why Gibson cant improve massively and Boozer cant get back to his old self. What kinda massive leap is Taj Gibson, a 26-year old roleplayer, supposed to take? Boozer's days of 20/10 are more than likely over. He's older and as injury-prone as ever. The condensed season coming up all but guarantees he'll miss 15-20 games. Dick Allen
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) Looks like the Knicks got a bargain on Tyson Chandler at 4 years and 58 million. Thrifty SOB's. That's Mark Buehrle money.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) Woj now saying its for odom and gasol Even worse for LA.
Chisoxfn
If they can get Dwight, its a great move. Otherwise I don't know how much better this truly makes the Lakers. Clearly they needed an upgrade at point but Gasol (outside of his soft playoff performance) is a damn good big.

Gibson's ceiling isn't that high. He'll just be a steady, plus defensive PF. Asik is the player who's improvement is going to shock a lot of people, imo. His ceiling is much higher than Gibson's. Jordan4life_2007
Paul to the Lakers? Well there's your west champ. Howard is going to LA. We all know it. Hooray for the impact the new CBA has had on competitive balance.

Wow, this is a huge leap of faith. They better get Dwight or they will be stuck with two backcourt players who play best with the ball in their hands. Jordan4life_2007
Paul adds another 3 years of elite play to Kobe's career. Unlike Wade/LeBron, Kobe's actually good at moving without the ball and is a much better shooter than both. chw42
If this is a 3 way deal like Yahoo is reporting...then the Hornets came out of this one in really good shape. Basically...CP3 for Odom, Scola, and Martin. That's 3 very good players for one superstar. I'd take that.
