I get the feeling familiarity breeds contempt unless its an absolute stud like Rose. There really is no reason why Gibson cant improve massively and Boozer cant get back to his old self.

What kinda massive leap is Taj Gibson, a 26-year old roleplayer, supposed to take? Boozer's days of 20/10 are more than likely over. He's older and as injury-prone as ever. The condensed season coming up all but guarantees he'll miss 15-20 games.

Is that done?

Woj is reporting it is done

"The Hornets have started to inform teams that they're sending Chris Paul to the Lakers for Bynum and Odom, league sources tell Y! Sports."

If they can get Dwight, its a great move. Otherwise I don't know how much better this truly makes the Lakers. Clearly they needed an upgrade at point but Gasol (outside of his soft playoff performance) is a damn good big.

And good bigs are way harder to find than good PGs

Gonna have to agree. Gibson's ceiling isn't that high. He'll just be a steady, plus defensive PF. Asik is the player who's improvement is going to shock a lot of people, imo. His ceiling is much higher than Gibson's.

Wow, this is a huge leap of faith. They better get Dwight or they will be stuck with two backcourt players who play best with the ball in their hands.
