If we can get a solid rebounding/defensive center, than I agree with you. but who could we get?

Brendan Haywood.

Though I really don't see how Toronto has the leverage to demand anything, their options are basically take whatever they can get or let him walk.

Meh.. Steve will probably be right at the end, but still you can't assume what a player thinks or is gonna do when you don't know the guy.

When it comes to ego, LeBron is pretty easy to read. Dude's a delightfully good interview, a good teammate, all that jazz, but he's not going to Wade's town to play with him. I do know that simply from reading up on him over these many years.

I guy called the score and said something to the effect of "Have you ever been to Miami? I have. Wade OWNS that town".

Well, it's true. You think the Miami Heat, you think Dwyane Wade. That ain't changin'.

Their options really become:

Lakers -Bynum

Heat - Beasley, Chalmers, Anthony

Knicks - Eddy Curry (ahahahahahahaha)

Bulls - Deng, Taj

Throw in picks where needed.

It's not their options though they don't decide Chris Bosh does and they take what they can get from where he wants to go.

Well no, those are the options if Bosh wants max money.

If a team is fully under the cap to the point that they can afford Bosh's contract, can't the team deal Bosh straight up for a draft pick and just absorb the cap hit? Toronto doesn't have to take salary back.

I wonder if, come tomorrow, players will be quick to sign with teams or will wait for Lebron to see how everything shakes down. Of course Lebron has had months to think about this, but the goof will probably drag it out past July 8th.

It'd be terrible if our Plan B/C signs, we wait around for Lebron, and he goes elsewhere and we're left with s***. I'd have to believe there's some contingency plan in place, such as telling certain players to wait, but if some team throws out enough money I don't know if it really matters.

I don't think the Raptors have room without Bird Rights and they would want SOMETHING in return.

Isn't the transaction I'm saying basically:

Raptors sign Bosh with Bosh's bird rights

Raptors trade Bosh to team under the cap

Raptors thereby clear Bosh's new contract.

I think that's how the Joe Johnson deal with Atlanta originally went down, the Suns got a pick option back along with Boris Diaw, but didn't have to match the full contract.

Another "rumor" - LBJ contacts Ray Allen to take less money to join him, Bosh and Dwade in Miami for Dream Team

I have met Lebatard before and he is a complete self consumed dooshbag. Obviously doesnt mean anything in regards to himm breaking news I just think its funny when guys like him look stupid with some of their "sure bet" reports.

If Bosh does not go to Miami in a sign and trade, IMO, his credibility takes a hit.

Right, well since LBJ, Bosh, and Wade will take up all the cap space, Allen will have to make the minimum.
