Well, I just don't see why he'd be meeting with the Bulls again so quickly unless something was brewing. If the BUlls come to agreement, it'll be announced just like Gooden/Salmons/Darko's s***ty contracts have.

Yeah it's strange. It's also strange that they met with Wade even though it is "well known" that he doesn't want to leave Miami. In fact the Score said that the Bulls had to work just to get Wade to meet. So either Wade met with them for the hell of it, or the Bulls were able to convince him that there was good reason to hear them out.

That's a really weird one... it's definitely an officially offered jersey from NBA.com.

Interestingly enough, it's not on the Knicks or Heat pages. What does THE LEAGUE know?

That the Bulls had Jerome James on their roster until today?

Well, technically he's forbidden from signing anything until July 8, so I can clearly answer "No" on that.

That jersey thing is pretty strange.

Wade meeting was probably just a love fest. "Oh Dwayne we love you in chicago its just to bad you cant play here. Maybe in 5 years youll come for a MLE when Lebron and Bosh have 5 titles"

And Bosh meeting again can only be good things. Obviously speaking with him in Chicago showing him around can only help. Also if I were the Bulls Id keep pitching Bosh that it doesnt matter what Lebron does, if you come to the Bulls things are going to happen.

A starting lineup with Rose, Bosh, Noah, and Deng, with Johnson and Gibson and Asik off the bench, could contend for a title right now if the Bulls could pull off a quality shooting guard and some backcourt depth with their remaining FA dollars.

if they sign bosh to a max deal, that ends the chances of lebron coming here, unless he's willing to take less (or unless they do a sign and trade with toronto). didn't espn's cap guru confirm that no matter what the bulls do they couldn't sign 2?

The bulls can move a few different contracts they could move to be able to get 2 max deals.

By "A few" you basically mean Deng or Noah. You clear either of them and you can offer 2 max deals, but if you move Noah, you've potentially left yourself a Miami level depleted roster. You can even take some money back in the process of clearing Deng.

They can get to two max contracts.

The problem remains that if you do a sign and trade for Bosh, he'll make more money than LeBron, which isn't going to fly.

I wonder if they can put that delicately enough to Bosh to make it clear to him.

If Deng goes with Noah in a sign and trade with the Raptors, could the Bulls bring in Wade & Boozer?

Unless my quick math is off (and i don't know the total cap value) I think the Bulls would still be about a million or two short of the 3rd max deal if they dumped both Deng and Noah, but moving James Johnson and Taj Gibson as well might do it.

That said, I'd rather have Noah than Boozer.

I'm not too familiar with NBA contracts, but can't the Bulls just back load Bosh's deal to make it fit within this year's cap?

Doesn't work that way for max deals.

No, there is a yearly maximum salary. The Bulls can't go over that maximum salary in the later years.

Frontloading and Backloading contracts only works when a player is not getting offered a maximum deal.

No, they can't. Bosh is going to have to take just a little less if Lebron signs (or vice versa)

Yes they can, they have to do a sign and trade to do it though. Read the post you're replying to.

So are we meeting with Bosh today or tomorrow? KJ Johnsons article indicates that the Bulls are trying to secure something with him tomorrow.

We also meet with David Lee tomorrow.

It sounds like he's on the ground in Chicago leaving the airport right now.

Did you even read the article? Because it clearly states they can:

Their best -- albeit unlikely -- bet would be to try to find a taker for Luol Deng's enormous contract, hoping to slide LeBron James into his vacated spot.

The article does not even consider trading Noah, but that would be another way.

Because Noah isn't going anywhere. The end.
