flavum
Torres is probably worthy of a call up as a long reliever if and when the time comes.
SoxAce
QUOTE (flavum @ May 25, 2010 -> 11:39 AM) Torres is probably worthy of a call up as a long reliever if and when the time comes. As I said in his last start, he is too good for AAA. Has nothing to prove anymore.
ThunderBolt
Danks 1-4 with an rbi and 2 k's. He's in a lot of trouble, if he doesn't figure it out soon.
Quin
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 25, 2010 -> 01:50 PM) As I said in his last start, he is too good for AAA. Has nothing to prove anymore. Either demote RRRRRRRrandy or have Torres be a throw in a trade. Edit: Nevermind, I thought Torres was a lefty for some reason. Balta1701
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 25, 2010 -> 06:12 PM) Either demote RRRRRRRrandy or have Torres be a throw in a trade. Torres isn't a lefty, and there's really no point in giving him up as a throw-in right now; we're not likely to be bringing people in as the season currently stands. If Jenks or Putz are moved later in the year, that creates a role for him.
Heads22
I'd rather have Torres throw left handed than Randy Williams.
NorthSideSox72
W-S up 2-1 on S in the 7th Savannah beat Kanny 3-2 in 13 innings, in the first game of a DH. Miggy Gonzalez in last 10 games: .323/.364/.516/.880. Savannah up 2-1 on Kanny in Game 2.
NorthSideSox72
Nick Ciolli has K'd in 47 of his 151 AB's. That is awful.
chisoxfan09
Danks 1-4 with an rbi and 2 k's. He's in a lot of trouble, if he doesn't figure it out soon. Way too early to call him a bust, but with Rios dong so well this year you figure he will be our CF barring something seriously changing so do you try and package Dank2 in a trade if the team gets to a point when even Danks1 is fair game in a firesale? Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ May 25, 2010 -> 08:23 PM) Way too early to call him a bust, but with Rios dong so well this year you figure he will be our CF barring something seriously changing so do you try and package Dank2 in a trade if the team gets to a point when even Danks1 is fair game in a firesale? Um, HELL YES! Jordan Danks has never been considered a premium prospect anywhere outside the White Sox organization.
SoxAce
Jimmy Ballinger (flying under the radar here) has yet to allow a run (21 IP) this season. Pretty cool to see, especially for a guy who is in an age appropriate league.

Pretty cool to see, especially for a guy who is in an age appropriate league. I made this same mistake earlier. He has yet to allow an earned run, but has given up three total. John Danks being on the Chicago White Sox has no effect on what the White Sox do with Jordan Danks. The fact that they are brothers is ironic or coincidental or even just cool, but if the Sox felt there was a good deal on the table in which they could move Jordan, they would do so without talking to John, and if John doesn't resign with the Sox because the White Sox traded his brother to attempt to improve the team, then I'm not sure you want John in the long run.
