yeah, thing is, the Purple line train doesn't run as frequent, so the wait for that may be a bit longer.

 

the green line train gets off 4 blocks or so east of the dan ryan, while the red line stops in the middle of the dan ryan.

walk over to state street and pay the $1.50 for the red line. It drops you off and picks you up right in front of the ballpark.

 

I believe the Hyatt is on Wacker up the river close to the Lake Shore Drive, it would be about a 5 block or so walk to Lake and State to catch the train. Cabbies will cost you an arm and a leg for the same trip, plus no traffic jams.
