RNemz43
how long it takes to ride the cta train from linden station in wilmette to 35th street for a sox game?
sox-r-us
If it s an odd day, take the express purple line to downtown and then change to green line (total will not take more than 45-50 mins) If it is a weekend, the express does not work so it takes much more time (~1.5 hrs given you have to change)
RNemz43
cant you take the purple line to the red line and the red line to 35th? i think the red line is the only train that goes this way, i could be wrong though
sox-r-us
You can take red ore green for Sox games....red is closer to the park
Molto
yeah, thing is, the Purple line train doesn't run as frequent, so the wait for that may be a bit longer. the green line train gets off 4 blocks or so east of the dan ryan, while the red line stops in the middle of the dan ryan. Bighurt52235
When I come in a few weeks, I'll be staying at the Hyatt Regency. We will not be renting a car. How shall I get to the ballpark?
southsider2k5
walk over to state street and pay the $1.50 for the red line. It drops you off and picks you up right in front of the ballpark. I believe the Hyatt is on Wacker up the river close to the Lake Shore Drive, it would be about a 5 block or so walk to Lake and State to catch the train. Cabbies will cost you an arm and a leg for the same trip, plus no traffic jams. http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/maps/F2002D.html
