This is out of hand? Peavy's struggling but he's given up 3 runs through 5.

It will be with the way Peavy is pitching. A 3-1 lead will be 5-3 deficit quickly.

Did you see yesterday's game.

The Sox really need a long man.

If THAT was a slider, it's the worst slider I've seen in my life. That looked like a changeup to me with no movement. There is NO movement on that "slider"

It was a slider. He's throwing more over the top today, and the result is the same crap we saw during the first month. What a bust so far.

OMG that's unreal, thanks for clarifying though. He MUST be having arm trouble if that's the case

I think I read somehwere or saw that his arm motion and mehanics would eventually cause him injury, but that was to the elbow.

Please take Peavy out.

Watch Ozzie leave him in there for the 6th. If he does, he should be fired. It's clear the guy has NOTHING in the tank and virtually every ball was hit hard that inning, including two of the hardest being outs.

The crazy thing is that Richard has better stuff than Peavy now. Faster average fastball, a better slider, and a more effective change-up. I have no idea what's wrong with Peavy, but his stuff is just extremely mediocre right now.

This pitching analyst thinks Pwavy is going tohave long term arm/elbow problems.

http://www.chrisoleary.com/projects/Baseba.../JakePeavy.html

The problem is that Jake Peavy has a significant Inverted V in his arm action. This hurts his timing and is one cause of his elbow problems. It will also set him up for Rotator Cuff and Labrum problems in a few years.

Should go Santos, Putz, Thorton Jenks...

If Rios can't drive in a couple it won't matter the bottom 6 in the line up are 0-10 with Teahen having 2 hits.

THis team will be incredibly rested for the college football season that is for sure......maybe the air is out in the dome.
