justBLAZE
QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) Is this sarcasm? It looks like he couldn't buy a strike out right now.
fathom
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Stone just agreed with you. There is something wrong with Peavy. It's either an injury, mechanics, or simply losing his stuff. He's always been a slider-dominant pitcher, and outside of maybe 2 starts, he's lost that pitch. fathom
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) It looks like he couldn't buy a strike out right now. He was a dominant strike out pitcher in the NL. Of course, he had a plus-plus slider then. I would say he has an average at best slider now.
fathom
He's throwing batting practice right now with those pathetic 90 mph fastballs and flat 87 mph slider.

fathom
Holy s*** is Peavy awful. These pitches have no bite at all. Put him on the DL, and tell him to build up some arm strength or something like htat. Edited May 30, 2010 by fathom

JohnCangelosi
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) Yes, vote early, vote often. If THAT was a slider, it's the worst slider I've seen in my life. That looked like a changeup to me with no movement. There is NO movement on that "slider"
ThunderBolt
In a game that Buehrle should have started, Peavy talks another big game and doesn’t show up again. This is absolute bulls***.
