Soxplosion
Roman you are nuts. You keep changing your mind when guys get hot. Now you like Mark B. We don't want to trade Crede...period. He is a hot prospect. The guy's defense alone is worth A LOT! Get a clue sometimes Roman. I dont like Mark B. We need him to win the division so I accept him but I dont like him. Not at all... MB is one of my favorites - surprize surprize. The only pitcher whose jersey I have ever bought - I want him forever with us
forkit
This is a repeat of a reply I made on one of the "other" sox boards, Roman. I think you should really reconsider your feelings about Crede. He's gonna be a really good third baseman for a long time. Just let him settle in. Hitting is contagious...he, like everyone else, is strating to hit to form now. The repost from the other board: _________________________________________________ You say "third basemen like him are a dime a dozen..." This guy has hit at everty level. He'll hit in the majors. He tore up the league last fall and when he settles down here, he'll settle in to his solid offense. I have no doubts he will hit. Go look at his AA and AAA stats--he killed the minors. You mentioned several of our current minor league players and their offense in the minors. Crede's numbers in the minors dwarfed theirs. As for third basemen being a dime a dozen, take a better look around both leagues: quality defensive third basemen are very hard to find. For example, looka t his throw to first--this guy throws strikes across the field with no effort. When you see guys like Jose--who has a "good" arm--throw across the field, it reminds you how strong Joe's arm is. Last, one thing I really like about him is this: while scuffling a little trying to find his swing in the majors, his defense hasn't suffered. Remember how Ray Ray's defense went down the tubes when he got cold at the plate? Joe's D is solid. I think he'll be a solid .285 career batter with good power and his defense at third will serve us well for many years to come. Forkit!
