jasonxctf
9 men LOB yesterday for Kotsay. That might be a record.
greg775
When Kotsay is going bad, it's brutal to watch him hit. Like somebody said in the game thread, long at bats mean nothing unless you finish it with a hit. Somebody in the game thread said he definitely doesn't look hitterish right now. He had a miserable game.
Kalapse
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) When Kotsay is going bad, it's brutal to watch him hit. Like somebody said in the game thread, long at bats mean nothing unless you finish it with a hit. Somebody in the game thread said he definitely doesn't look hitterish right now. He had a miserable game. Hey, apparently I was highly quotable yesterday. Kotsay's 4 for 29 with RISP this season, worst on the club he really has no business batting in a run producer's slot in the order. That hot streak also appears to be over; he no longer looks confident at the plate like he did when he was red hot and he's now 2 for 20 over his last 5. For me the biggest disappointment with Kotsay has been his baseball IQ: he's easily been one of our dumbest players this season, not what you'd expect from a guy who's been in the league for 14 years and careers the label "scrappy vet". It must take a 28 pitch at-bat bat before his dangerousness leads to a basehit.
JohnCangelosi
We should change the subject to: Can we DFA Kotsay now?
