fathom
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:40 AM) I'd be pretty pleased with Workman at #63. me too
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) I'd be pretty pleased with Workman at #63. Put me on the board, yes. For that as well. I'm assuming that Wilson and Allie will be off the board though, and Eibner doesn't give me a pause upon further consideration.

ThunderBolt
I'd like us to consider James Paxton too.
Jordan4life_2007
I'd say the Blue Jays and Red Sox had the best Day 1's (not counting teams like the Nationals).

ThunderBolt
I'm still ecstatic we got Sale. I'm really pleased with the Sox for the first time in months.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) Tampa took 3 great offensive talents I don't know jack about Drew whatever his last name is. So that's why I just threw Toronto and Boston out there.
Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 03:52 AM) Tampa took 3 great offensive talents I really liked what the Rays did.
SoxAce
I hope we get Allie tomorrow. If not, I would not mind Workman or a position player like Washington. Rays, Red Sox, Rockies and Tigers with great drafts so far. I like the Cardinals draft too. Cox at #25 was amazing for them to rebuild that system. Angels obviously have a plan with the high schoolers. We'll see if it works for them.
daggins
White Sox got one of the better picks I think with Sale. Rays and Red Sox had the best first days, and Tigers did the most with least.
SoxAce
QUOTE (daggins @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) White Sox got one of the better picks I think with Sale. Rays and Red Sox had the best first days, and Tigers did the most with least. A few teams got steals this day. Our white sox were defintiely one of those teams. Springfield Soxfan
Will be interesting to see where Morgado goes tomorrow. There were a lot of people who had him convinced he would be a first rounder this year by going back into the draft.
Quin
Sox lucked out...both of them. I was hoping Castellanos or Ranuado would magically fall. Oh well. Wilson is intriguing...we pried TT from college, so perhaps another mega tools OF is in order.

Wilson should be the target, but I doubt with the season we are having (attendance wise) there will not be money budgeted to buy him out of his commitment. dasox24
A few other familiar names besides Sale picked in Round 1/Comp Round: Anthony Ranaudo and Mike Olt. Edited May 24, 2016 by dasox24
Rowand44
Not convinced Harper, Machado or Chris Sale will amount to much.
3GamesToLove
Pretty good first round, all told? I will say, the excitement people showed about getting Beckham, Mitchell, and Sale in consecutive drafts was sobering.
