Thornton too This is just part of the learning process for a young reliever. He is a converted SS. This year is about development.

Kalapse
Sergio is just impressive as all hell. He was going to eventually hit a rough patch this season and he's doing a hell of a job to get through it right now.
fathom
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 08:06 PM) Sergio is just impressive as all hell. He was going to eventually hit a rough patch this season and he's doing a hell of a job to get through it right now. I was surprised to see his WHIP as high as it is. I love the experience he gets from that inning.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 03:06 PM) Sergio is just impressive as all hell. He was going to eventually hit a rough patch this season and he's doing a hell of a job to get through it right now. He looked like he was overthrowing. Nothing that isn't easily fixable. fathom
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) He looked like he was overthrowing. Nothing that isn't easily fixable. I've actually noticed that almost all the damage against him has been on his fastball lately (outside of a Kinsler double). When you throw as hard as you do, and people start catching up to your fastball...you'll start trying to throw it even harder. Santos needs to remember that as of right now, his best pitch is his slider. It's ironic that his 95 mph fastball is his set-up pitch.
