Thanks! Matos is someone that I'm going to be following. One of the few legit guys from the DSL team last year.

Chase said he's good but the language barrier makes things a little more complicated. Another player always has to translate when when the catcher visits the mound.

It is pretty amazing to read all of these draft stories and it would be nice to hear what actually went down, because if he his agent told the Royals who would not sign for the 4th overall slot, that agent should be fired, but oh well. It's great to have him and let's see how he does this summer.

Some teams were thinking it was going to take 4M to sign him. It was odd that he went to the Sox since it didn't sound like Sale had really talked or heard much from the Sox at all.

will do! I know a few of them, just based on who Chase lives with and other stories he tells me.

Is there anyone specific you're looking for?

Nobody specific, I'm too impatient to wait 24 hours for the roster to be posted online. Does Chase know if any players are still in extended spring training?

Baseball America hasn't updated minor league transactions in a while, so I was also wondering if there were anymore players released.

The last person I have heard about being release is Harughty.

Chase is in the shower and on his way to practice after that so the soonest I could let you know anything would be tonight!

That's fine, practice is a priority of course.

Now that is some in-depth reporting!

Saladino, Wilson, Rath, and O'Connell signings are officially listed now.

http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/trans...amp;team_id=145

O'connell is not having the best luck!! :(

He's a catcher with braces ..I feel for him should he ever get hit in the face-mask.

Also ..yesterday was his first day of in and out n all that ...he didn't do much because he got sick.

Poor kid ..I'm hoping he is able to adjust to the level at which he's playing, fairly quickly.

Any word on whether Sale will report to AA or higher? They have him in some reports as being MLB ready by September by not likely.

Winston-Salem... to be tutored by Bobby Thigpen.

He was interviewed on the radio last night, happened to catch it in the car. Kind of funny, Sale brought up that he'd be tutored by Thigpen... DJ said something about, yeah, that Thigpen guy, he had 57 saves that one year, not bad... Sale says yeah, that's OK I guess.

The original report said W-S for a couple weeks, followed by a couple weeks in Charlotte and then maybe a callup. It's not like Randy Williams is blocking him.

Well, it's not the record any more, and that wasn't a very good team either.

The 1990 White Sox won 94 games, which was good for 2nd most in the AL that season and 3rd best in all of baseball, and were led by a great pitching staff. Alex Fernandez (as a 20 year old, having just been drafted that year) and Jack McDowell had solid seasons, Eric King and Greg Hibbard had great seasons, and the bullpen was phenomenal, which was led by Thigpen, who put up a 1.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. It's not their fault that the A's won 103 games and that the Wild Card hadn't been invented yet.

Really? I thought he put that up on the 89 squad. My mistake.
