103 mph screwball
QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 11:04 PM) I will be irate if they can't get their s*** straight and KW leaves. Agree 100%. The assembled talent is not working out. Now you can assume that the talent is bad and blame the GM or blame the manager for not getting the most out of his players. (Players accountable....I get it but you can't replace the team quickly). You have to fire the manager first to see if a different manager can get the assembled talent to perform as expected. Then if that doesn't work, then you start over in the off season with a new GM who brings in their own guy as manager. Clean slate. I would be very disappointed to lose KW. I'm hoping for a nice 15 game winning streak to solve the problem.
justBLAZE
Latest column from Cowley: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...T-sox13.article He pretty much says Ozzie is fireproof and talks about the possible future of all 4 baseball managers in town. jamesdiego
Cowely is pathetic. He lets is out that KW is talking to him, yea, I wonder why? And then talks about the White Sox soap opera, as if he's not the one throwing logs on the fire.
maki
I don't even know if the latest article qualifies as journalism in any capacity.

Balta1701
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:47 PM) I couldn't tell you the last thing he did that actually would. Isn't journalism today basically just transcribing the most controversial thing anyone says with no analysis?
maki
The only thing joe cowley offers as a beat writer is access to the club that very few people in the world have. Chances are there's probably 25 people on this site alone that would be more insightful than joe if they had the same access.
