SoxAce
Just gonna let this NL thing ride out here. If we can't take at least 2/3 from the Pirates, then noone can't take the sox seriously..... once again.
jasonxctf
oh goodie.. another pitcher in his rookie season that the Sox havent seen before.
soxfan3530
Take five of the next six agains the pirates and nationals (ill take a strasburg lost) and i will start to get intrigued again.

fathom
Wow, that's an absolutely abysmal lineup. Interesting that AJP is not playing with the Sox facing a rhp and then seeing a LHP tomorrow.
BaseballNick
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) Our boy Mark Kotsay hitting 5th again! In Ozzie's defense, he's a better option at 5 than Ramirez, Castro, Beckham, or Garcia.
justBLAZE
Freddy Garcia 6-1, 2.87 ERA in starts after Sox loss. The Sox have won their last 3 games against pitchers they haven't faced before. From Chuck Garfien, via twitter. WhiteSoxfan1986
AJP with a day off against a RHP, after we had a day off yesterday is interesting to say the least. You have to question Ozzie on that one, unless there is something brewing on the trade front, which I doubt is the case.
NorthSideSox72
Using my own thread, here is Freddy's career as a hitter (through 2009): 12-58 (.207/.230/.241/.471), 2 2B, 19 K, 13 Sac

fathom
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) AJP with a day off against a RHP, after we had a day off yesterday is interesting to say the least. WhiteSoxfan1986
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) And the fact that we face a LHP tomorrow Exactly. Makes no sense. And you would think if A.J. was going to be traded it would have happened before his 10-5 rights kicked in, not a day after.
Kalapse
Well, if AJ were traded today or tomorrow it'd make Ozzie look awfully bad considering his comments today. From Cowley via twitter: He [Ozzie] also said that it was a good sign that A.J. was not traded. Sends a message to the Sox players that there is still time to fix things. Kalapse
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) And the fact that we face a LHP tomorrow Even MORE odd: just looked up the numbers and Castro is 3 for 7 with a HR lifetime vs Duke (AJ's 1 for 3). Also: this year at Indy lefties hit .274 off Lincoln and righties hit .156. My guess: AJ's a little sore after being hit in back to back games and Ozzie's giving him an extra day to recoup.
