chw42
Buehrle absolutely owns the NL, he's gotta get us this sweep and make us only 3 games under .500. From there, it is very manageable to get back to .500.
Kyyle23
The Sox now have as many wins vs the Pirates as the Cubs do, lol

Ozzie Ball
SoxNet recap: White Sox beat Pirates' Low-A affiliate White Sox star of the game: John Danks- 8 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO, .228 WPA White Sox goat of the game: Gordon Beckham- 0-4, 5 LOB, -.090 WPA Everyone's favorite borderline ace John Danks got the start today for our Sox and he overpowered the Pirates' lineup. He did his damage with a four seam fastball that topped out at 92.6 mph and averaged 90.73 mph, plus his changeup, which average 82.13 mph. His overall whiff rate was 8.57% and he had an extremely impressive 30% whiff rate on his changeup, which was the magic pitch for Danks, as he picked up 5 of his 6 strikeouts with the pitch, all of which were swinging strikeouts (the best kind!). The changeup today was what the scouting community would refer to as a "plus-plus" pitch. Continued...
GREEDY
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) Pirate errors!! You mean Pirate arrors!!
Cali
f*** it.... Get some confidence by beating up these NL A-Ball teams, and if that can't get you amped up for good competition then fire sale time....
SoxAce
Like I said before... won't get excited yet crushing sorry NL teams. But I will say this.. we somehow only lose 1 or 2 games (don't know about Strasburg) this stretch, I MIGHT have some eyes peaked on us again when we get back to the AL teams to see how we do. Quin
Sometimes all it takes is a confidence boost. The NL came at the right time.
greg775
Considering how lousy the batting averages are, it is simply amazing we are four back of .500. This is where we usually nosedive back to eight or so under. Can the team keep creeping upward?
