southsider2k5
. Seven games now without a homer for the Sox, 6-1 over that stretch... The longest stretch since 1993. Jake Peavy with his 4th career shutout, 8th CG.
clyons
I'd say Jake Peavy is healthy. Offense, not so much.

DBAHO
If only Peavy could pitch against NL teams every week. Not a pretty offensive performance, but the pitching has been huge recently. Let's hope it keeps up.
Balta1701
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) I'd say Jake Peavy is healthy. Offense, not so much. We started the game with 0 guys with an OPS over .800 and 2 guys with OPS over .700 in the lineup.
Jordan4life_2007
Our ace (no hyperbole) came to pitch. This is what Kenny was talking about when he said a lot of good times were ahead with this guy leading our staff. Oh, and is 'Lexi playing a pretty f***ing mean SS or what? chw42
He definitely had good movement on his pitches today. And Q came through in the 4th. Man our offense sucks without PK and Rios.

chw42
We won today and Freddy's pitching tomorrow. This should mean that he's going to suck since he's never won a game after a White Sox win. Good thing we took these last two.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) god this reminds me so f***ing much of 2001 Dude, just shut up (and I say that respectfully) and enjoy the run. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 05:48 PM) If only he could stop striking out on three straight pitches. True. But his defense is to a degree offsetting his mediocre offense. Anybody who wants to move Beckham to SS needs a serious reality check.

This is what Kenny was talking about when he said a lot of good times were ahead with this guy leading our staff. Oh, and is 'Lexi playing a pretty f***ing mean SS or what? He pretty much is one of the best SS's in the league defensively when he has no time to think. If he has time, not so much.

Anybody who wants to move Beckham to SS needs a serious reality check. I want to move Beckham to Charlotte, not to SS. Today's suggested move: Viciedo to starting at 3b, Vizquel to 2b, beckham to Charlotte. Viciedo's going to be lucky to get a game a week ahead of Vizquel if Omar only has 3b to play at, and hell, Vizquel's outhitting Beckham by a lot lately. Plus, calling up Viciedo and benching him is as stupid of a move as you could possibly come up with.

I've been pretty hard on Ramirez the last two years. I don't expect '08. But I expect more than what we've gotten the last year and a half. But I'll take the GG caliber SS. I just know there's been some people on here that for some reason think a move to SS will get Beckham's bat going. lol. Beckham is not even in the same stratosphere as Ramirez defensively.
