maggsmaggs
Silveiro can certainly hit bad pitching, but he just can't hit advanced pitchers. Luckily he is still relatively young.
scenario
Great Falls pitcher Charles Delk got hammered in the opener. Knocked out in the 3rd after giving up 8 runs.
danman31
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 08:58 PM) Silveiro can certainly hit bad pitching, but he just can't hit advanced pitchers. Luckily he is still relatively young. He's the youngest hitter on the team. Not much of a lineup around him though.

NorthSideSox72
Torres looked good. And De Aza has meant business since his return from the DL.
scenario
Torres has a 2.15 ERA over his last 10 appearances (62 2/3 innings)... Including 7 quality starts...(In fact, during 5 of these starts he has given up 1 run or less.) And has only given up 2 homeruns during the 10-games. Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:04 AM) Torres has a 2.15 ERA over his last 10 appearances (62 2/3 innings)... Including 7 quality starts...(In fact, during 5 of these starts he has given up 1 run or less.) And has only given up 2 homeruns during the 10-games. I don't care what people say about his stuff, he should be in our bullpen next season as our long reliever / spot starter.
Kalapse
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) I don't care what people say about his stuff, he should be in our bullpen next season as our long reliever / spot starter. He should have been filling that role for AT LEAST the past few weeks.
Heads22
Well, Williams' role on the team is to get out tough lefties. That's why we have him. He's a second lefty arm for the pen. Of course, he's not good enough for that, so he's relegated to tossing mopup. Why Torres isn't in that role, especially so we can actually use Pena, I have no clue.
