Quin
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 02:49 PM) Viciedo 2 days in a row?!?! Rejoice! Holy ****! QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) He'll go 0-4 against Grienke and Ozzie will never play him again. Or, he'll go 4-4 with 4 HR and 16 RBI's. elrockinMT
Grienke is a top notch pitcher. Just hope the Royals can't muster an offense off Peavy and we prevail. Winning is always nice.

greg775
That could blow up in our face with Greinke most likely making him look foolish tonight. How can it blow up in our face? Even if he fails, he's the BEST OPTION.
chw42
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) Who would you rather be playing today? I hate how people continually do this. Alexei would be lost against Greinke, Jones has been beyond brutal and our other option is Lillibridge. I still want Alexei in there for his D. Play Vizquel at 3B and DH Viciedo. BigSqwert
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 04:40 PM) How can it blow up in our face? Even if he fails, he's the BEST OPTION. Meaning if you're showcasing him for a trade why would you bench him against mediocre pitchers and start him against Greinke?
ThunderBolt
I like seeing Dayan in the lineup against Greinke. Eventually, the kid needs to be challenged.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) Yes, yes I do. Jones has put up a sweet little .138/.248/.230/.477 number in his last 101 PAs, and .075/.213/.150/.363 in his last 47. You think he's suddenly going to snap out of that and go all retro-Andruw and hit 3 homers against Greinke or something? Kotsay is the best option at DH. I hope we're not trading him. I like him. If we are trading him ... well Greinke makes a lot of guys look foolish. I just like watching him play. Free Dayan! Jerksticks
Is DH too much pressure for Viciedo or something? I agree we are better defensively with Omar and Alexei. I have no problem resting Alexei obviously, but we have a lineup spot available where Viciedo's defense can't hurt us and his bat can help us; seems Kotsay/Paulie have a monopoply on it. ChiliIrishHammock24
Kotsay - .212 AVG, .317 OBP, .365 SLG, .682 OPS, 6 HR, 16 RBI, 1 SB, 2 CS. Plays 1B and is worth -$1.9 M this year..... Jones -- .199 AVG, .312 OBP, .435 SLG, .747 OPS, 10 HR, 22 RBI, 7 SB, 2 CS. Plays all 3 OF positions and is worth $1.2 M this year..... Yeah, I will take the power hitting, faster, multiple position playing player who does not have NEGATIVE value this year....
