I hope that Jake just strained something. Before this run of awesome starts he was experiencing soreness in his shoulder, right? It might not be his elbow.

you wont hear a pop when you strain something

Looking at one more replay, there's a SLIGHT chance he pulled an oblique. At this point, that would be best case scenario.

Thats what I thought he was reaching for with his glove hand. That's why I said his side.

We have no idea that there was actually a pop. Maybe fathom is an expert lip reader, but I'll wait until the post game to find out for sure.

Jake didn't grab for his elbow. He slightly contorted his body after the pitch.

If he pulled his oblique though, he would have likely been leaning towards the side while walking to the dugout.

If he blew out his elbow he would be carrying it "Zumaya" style.

He kinda let it hang, didn't look like it was broke or anything.

No offense Fathom or BearSox, but neither of you have a f***ing clue what it is right now.

None of us do.

Have you ever pulled your oblique in that area? It's impossible to even stand up straight, it's that painful.

I'm 100 percent sure he told Ozzie/Hermie "it popped", which is why they just turned around and walked into the dugout right away.

Yes, I sure have, and yes, you can stand and walk. It's twisting that makes it hurt.

You have no idea whether he "threw out" his elbow or not.

Karma. Y'all better think twice before you ridicule the next fan who falls from the upper deck or Rios may blow out a knee .

Holy s***! Someone fell out of the upper deck? Was the person okay?

its ridiculous how healthy we have been as a whole throughout the years....this type of thing really sucks, but our training staff has been really lucky/good and kept this type of thing to a minimum

Let me ask you this: if you were watching the Red Sox and Yankees play, and you saw Beckett throw a pitch and walk off with the same reaction, wouldn't your first thought be "hello Tommy John"

And you may be correct.

But neither of you should be posting that you are 99% sure of anything or answering questions in the affirmative that he threw his elbow out when you are purely guessing.

Let's just wait for more info.

Yes. But I wouldn't go on Son of Sam Horn and tell everyone that I was certain he needed TJ surgery, is the point I am trying to get across.
