SoxAce
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) I like this also cause this means Thornton probably gets the night off barring a collapse. God dammit Sergio....
Real
Santos has completely lost all command of his fastball, not sure how much longer he'll be effective... which isn't good because Thornton hasn't been sharp lately either
BFirebird
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) Also the A's for most of the decade, the Angels (although they have a big budget), Twins, Brewers and the Rangers have really become an interesting organization. Of course, the model for all teams to emulate is the Schuerholz/Atlanta Braves model. Good point. All of those teams draft really well. As do the Red Sox. But I was really just mentioning teams that had little to no budget. The Rays have increased theirs over the years a little bit.

fathom
No idea why Castro keeps calling for the fastball, when it's clear Santos has no command of it. This is bad, as Angels can easily get tying run to the plate.

fathom
I'm pretty sure Abreu is the only person with more strike outs looking than Pods over the last decade.

Adam Dunn has to be pretty high up on that list as well.

fathom
Our defense is on drugs tonight. That should be 5 errors for the defense, as the throw to 2nd should be ruled an error.

BFirebird
QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:53 PM) This is so ugly, but we still have the lead, was hoping Thornton did have to pitch tonight, but now we need him. There is the down side. Overall we have been better on defense...I believe we are in the top 1/3 in fielding %, but today is unacceptable. Freddy could have also maybe gone 1 more inning if Viciedo didn't boot that other one.
