elrockinMT
I was returning home from a few days on the road and while travelling the great highways of America tuned in the radio last night to find baseball games. I happened to catch part of the Rockies-Reds game broadcast by a Colorado station and listed while they expressed their amazemewnt about how it seemed D'Angelo Jimenez of the Reds didn't know what out it was in the inning beasue he had made some goofy attempt to throw to first on a two-out force at 2nd. He apprently thought there was only one out. They were calling out that he needed to get his head in the game. I see that he also made an error in that game. I made it home in time to see the Sox highlights on ESPN and they showed the Robbie Alomar dive for a grounder, roll and toss to 1st for the out. Never saw that from DJ. SweetJfour
the word is maybe potential? Potential? The only thing DJ has potential for is being the biggest bum in the majors!!
MurcieOne
Potential? The only thing DJ has potential for is being the biggest bum in the majors!! D'angelo is a solid hitter, has decent speed, and when he's not having a mental meltdown......he's an average player. Lenny Harris is the league's biggest bum btw. That being said.....I hope Robbie Alomar retires in the Silver and Black.....with some Jewelery to go along with him.
danman31
Jiminez has talent, but he just needs to figure that out in his head. I don't think anybody can deny that if he was a smarter player he could be a solid player. That alone will give him multiple chances. greg775
That play by Alomar was unbelievable. We now have a chance at the playoffs and Series at least. With D'Angelo and Harris in the lineup we had NO chance. Alomar's defense really really is important to us.

More then anyone can say for the crap Everett puts up night in and night out. He needs to get his azz in gear or he will be riding the pines behind Rowand and/or Willie. Texsox
I am so glad DJ spent part of this season with the Sox. For most of my life, he still would be a Sox and we would still be b****ing as we were eliminated from the division race. It sure feels good that the team went out and found a replacement. clujer420
Since joining the Reds, D'Angelo has 29 hits in 86 at bats. That comes out to...oh f*** it. If the guy went on to win the triple crown next year, he'd still suck in your minds, so why bother.

clujer420
He will be under .270 for the year, book it. Considering he's at .275 now, that's not exactly a stretch. He may be below .260 by the end of the season, but I don't really care one way or the other. But you've got to admit that there are some people on this board that NO MATTER WHAT a player does once he's in the "doghouse", there's NO way he'll ever get out of it. That, IMO, is ridiculous, and I see it quite often on here.

And people have their opinions, some change every minute, and on the other end of the spectrum some will never admit they were wrong. We have all kinds here. Another thing I don't like -- why bring up Jimenez a month after we get rid of him? Why trash the guy now? We've pretty much all said our "good riddance" and " :fyou 's", so what purpose does it serve to continue to bash him? Seems that we could come up with much more constructive topics of discussion. Nah, those aren't all of my grievances (that would take a while, and I've got sleep to tend to), but that's the one bothering me most at the moment. And it's not the bringing up of former players that bothers me -- it's the bringing them up for the sole purpose of bashing them that bothers me. Seems pointless. clujer420
Self justification. It is that simple. The whole need to give out the "I was right"s. I would agree with that most of the time, but in the case of Jimenez, mostly everyone on here was against him long before we got rid of him. So it's not like 1 person "predicted" this -- it was a long time coming, and most of us were calling for it.
