...and a change of scenery would help PLUS he would have an advantage on AL hitters most of whom have never faced him.

NL pitchers going to the AL always do much better.

At this point, I hope it's not something more serious...like a detached kneecap

GMAB, you think he detached his kneecap and then went and hit two homeruns while playing the field for the rest of the game?

This is CQ, if he did something serious he would of been out right after he did his ninja roll after catching Hunters linedrive

Check above, I was being completely sarcastic. Ozzie said he would hold him out until Friday. Now, if he's not playing tomorrow, that will be more worrisome.

1st name Washington mentioned for Dunn was Beckham...

I'd have a hard time saying no to that right now, although if you still feel Beckham can be what you thought he'd be when you drafted him, such a deal can't be made. But that's might tempting right now with how lost Gordon looks, even if you're getting a rental back for him.

You can't do that right now, especially with Dunn not wanting an extension if he's going to be a DH.

I'd rather pitch Hudson than Haren, and that's not even counting that we'd have to give up prospects to get Haren. No thanks.

Use what little capital we have in the minors to get Dunn on a decent deal if possible, or some other bat, and pitch Hudson.

Yeah I know you can't do it. But it just takes a lot of restraint to say no to that one right now.

No, it really doesn't.

Good, then he should come in on the cheap.

why would you want to trade for someone that is pitching like s***? Leaving his pitches up along with less velocity...sure, that sounds like it'll be a blast at USCF.

He pitched three years in Oakland, and this is his third year in Arizona. He's faced pretty much everyone that can be faced. Most guys in the AL, unless they've come up in the last 3 years, have faced him at some point.

Because he is much better than what he is pitching right now, and his value "should" be low right now. Get him on the cheap and see if he can turn back into form. Remember Alex Rios? Had a good track record, had one bad year, we got him on the cheap, and now he is back to dominant.

And then we would have another player to give a nickname to!

The Sox got Alex Rios for free. Had the Sox given up a bevy of prospects for Alex Rios last year, like the Sox would have to do for Dan Haren this year, people would be ripping the deal to shreds.

Sox on the board. Kotsay would be wise to get a hit.

No, it really doesn't.

So you're not worried about the fact that Gordon Beckham has been an awful player for 3 months now? You're a far more patient and trusting man than I am.

It's really amazing that there was actually talk of trading "Bacon Slayer" (when is the last time we've seen that?) straight up to the Padres for Adrian Gonzalez, and a lot of people around here and on the radio were saying no way to that.
