kitekrazy
So the team had an 11 game winning streak and now a 7 game streak with a break in between. I would have never expected this group to do this. I hope the all star break doesn't cool this team down. The real bummer is when the Sox play the Twins I'll be living in AZ. Has anyone ever bought the MLB web streaming? It's either that or loiter a sports bar. The neat thing is I will be living 10 minutes away from the Spring training facility. Me an my brother are hoping to get a chance to watch Strasburg pitch against the Diamondbacks in August. Tickets are really cheap too. Even if the Sox are good or bad, I may suffer from White Sox withdrawal. At least I still have Sox Talk.
thxfrthmmrs
what amazes me is they are really dominating as of late, especially the pitching. It's like if the Sox strikes first, you just know that the pitching will hold up till the end. They are also getting quality wins, it's not like they are barely winning by coming from behind most of the time. There weren't really doubts in many of those games that the Sox will come out on top. I think the team is really spoiling us now by not even giving the opponents a chance to win:) Edited July 11, 2010 by thxfrthmmrs
Knackattack
I had mlb.tv the past two seasons before this one, and I thought it was great. There is some weird blackout thing on sundays or some s*** that pissed me off, but other than that, it was a godsend. The only reason I didn't re-subscribe was that I just didn't have the time to watch the games. I may actually get it after the all star break. aprec32
I have it right now and think its pretty solid. I actually run it through into my TV. There are some moments where it freezes and I only get audio, but for the price, I think its worth it.

claydude14
I have MLB.tv and have for like 4 seasons now, it's great. Last year it sucked but they ironed out the issues it seems. I also love it because I splurged on a Roku Player that allows me to stream the games on my TV as well as picking up and iPod touch with the MLB app that allows me to watch games on it with a WiFi signal. I've definitely become more of a White Sox and baseball fan in general since getting the package. I don't have cable, so when there's nothing else on I'll watch the most intriguing game offered; or even archived games that are worth seeing i.e. no-nos or historic moments or just catching old Sox action. My favorite part about it ironically is that the Yankees and Mets are blacked out due to my region, and without cable I don't have to follow baseball through YES and SNY. Although I definitely miss MLB Network. Enough suckin of MLB.tv's kook. I'm in awe of this team and what we've done after April and May. My Old Man who is a Twins fan was more sold on the team than I was after I saw us beat the Nats in the Strausburg game in D.C. It's just so awesome that the NL feasting has rolled over into our AL play. We are also totally winning games that we lost earlier in the year by 1 or 2 runs. The pitching has come around. And the offense. Man the past few weeks it seems like they don't let down even with a lead. It's just awesome to see and very surreal thinking about my emotions following the ugly losses to Cleveland so many many moons ago. Let's keep it up SOX! Real
Anybody know what BP Prospectus final win totals are now that we are ahead of the twins? Or what our playoff chances are?

Yeah I have the "Next Def" thing or whatever they call it. The quality is good and it actually has a DVR on it where I can pause and go back into the game. But like I said, it has its choppy moments. Moving out here in the middle of July...what are you NUTS?!? It's friggin Africa-hot out! Get your digital Cox cable set up and they'll probably only make you pay a prorated rate for MLB Extra Innings. If I go out for a beer after work and still wanna watch the Sox instead of at home (and I work right next to Peoria Sports Complex...my office view is left field)...anyway I go to McDuffys they'll put on whatever game you want (tons of tvs). Not sure what sports bars are at Westgate (next to where you'll kinda live).

Even if the Sox are good or bad, I may suffer from White Sox withdrawal. At least I still have Sox Talk. You never need to pay for MLB.TV or Extra Innings or any other bulls**t for that matter. All you need is: 1.) Trusted family/friend who lives in the TV broadcast zone. 2.) Two computers. One with a TV tuner. 3.) gotomyPC.com account ($14.95/month $90/season+playoffs with a 30-day trial) There are other remote PC access accounts(Remote PC, BarracudaDrive) that are free or cheaper, do some research. I know MLB.TV lowered their prices to $14.95/month $79.99/season, but if you figure that you will also have access to Hawks, Bulls, Bears, Local College?? games than it's more cost-effective to do this. Both the computers need to share the remote access password. This is where the trust comes in. All you do is have your family/friend hook up Computer A w/the TV tuner onto the channel the game is on(WCIU,CSN,WGN Access Computer A with Computer B using gotomyPC.com account. Enjoy live feed. My friend did this at school for the Oakland A's games, I guess he really wanted to see them lose . But works pretty well. I don't condone any illegal activity. TheChrisSamsa
I've had MLB.tv for about 3 weeks now and it's probably the best entertainment investment I've ever made. I use it mostly to keep an edge on my fantasy baseball leagues, but it's also fantastic to just be able to watch historical or potentially historical moments as they happen. Last night alone I found myself rushing to get my computer twice to catch potential no-hitters in progress. It's really a nice package, especially at it's current price. There's an occasional blip in the stream but it usually works itself out pretty quickly.
kwolf68
This has been an amazing turnaround. At one point the Sox were on life-support, at or near last, talking about a firesale...and now look? It's been enjoyable to watch. I don't get much time right now to post in here (doing some pretty intense post-grad work), but rarely miss a Sox game. It's been a lot of fun and also takes away the distraction of the Blackhawks being dismantled piece by piece. Once again, I have to give Ozzie Guillen credit. He lead us to a Title in 2005, won another Central title and his ability to keep this team focused and not let them give up on the season (when we could have) indicates he is the manager for this team. AMAZED is definately a good choice of words.
