Thad Bosley
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) I don't think we can afford to resign him in the offseason. He will have too high a price tag. Surely he'd give us the hometown discount!
southsideirish71
Its amazing we have won as many games as we have with Brian Anderson Darin Erstad as our DH. Edited July 16, 2010 by southsideirish71

Soxbadger
Well guess I didnt realize double switch with DH was illegal, learn something. Then yeah the best option would have been to pinch hit Dayan or anyone at that point.
southsideirish71
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:42 PM) Pitching wins games. Scoring more runs than the opposition is what wins games. Pitching helps prevent runs from being scored. A .600 OPS DH helps the opposition in the same manner.
chw42
I'd rather see Putz in the 8th TBH with you. Especially with Mauer up this inning.

caulfield12
"Brian Anderson would put up Torii Hunter-esque numbers if he played everyday." KW Well, looks like the White Sox were cruising, then Danks had one of his occasional implosions and somehow we pulled ourselves off the deck and got back up again (which is nice to see that we believe is possible in Minnesota). Danks at least shut the door and got the game to our pen, so he definitely did his job after the Mauer bases-clearing double. Nice to see Beckham looking more and more dangerous. fathom
Damn, Putz hung the slider. Really didn't like the decision to go to Putz, as lefties have had a much better shot against him.

caulfield12
Putz has 22 consecutive scoreless appearances. That goes back to 2004 I think... Also, the last two years 10/12 teams leading at the break either won their divisions or entered the postseason as the Wild Card. The only exceptions, D-Backs in 2008 and the Tigers last year.
