danman31
QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) umm....yeahhhh...sooo, Dan Black hit 3 for 3 today with 2 HR's ..Congrats to him!! He already proved he can hit at this level. They must just be working on his defense. He looks like he could be a pretty good hitter if he can play catcher respectably well. I have seen him play the position of catcher as well as 1st base ..to me he handles himself A LOT better at first base, he's great there. I don't even know why they would try to move him from that position.
GoodAsGould
I think I'm off the UpChurch bandwagon, I did have high hopes when the sox drafted him.

Usually it's a situation where the Sox go to Black or visa versa and say you can get to the Majors quicker by playing catcher. He was in Kannapolis this time a year ago so it's interesting to see him in Bristol a year later. It has to be about the defense.

He has 39 K to 7 BB in 33 innings. I would like to see him move out of Bristol soon.

Yeah ..that sucks for him, he's a good guy. Good thing it's not about how you start ..it's how you finish!! I hope he can pull it together soon!
