Does Steve Stone need to call out Ozzie for not starting Dayan?? It worked with Lou

I said it before here if Steve Stone was not employed with the Sox, he would of called out Ozzie long ago on it.

This.

I would love to see this lineup sometime soon.

Pierre LF

Beckham 2b

Rios CF

Konerko 1b

Quentin RF

Pierzynski C

Ramirez SS

Vizquel 3b

Viciedo DH

Not bad but why not put Viciedo after Quentin. He got a pretty good rep in the minors as a clutch hitter. Then follow him up with Ramirez Pierzynski and Vizquel . Or leadoff Vizquel and put Pierre 9th. 3-6 would love to see all power so the pitcher can feel the heat if he hangs one.

I'm certain Viciedo is involved in any Sox trade talk right now. They have to keep his value as high as possible. If he goes 0-10 with 6 K's, Kenny's plan, whatever it is goes out the window.

You really think 10 at bats is going to change a team's mind about a prospect?

He needs to. Colvin has been a star since Stone "persuaded" Lou to play him more.

Steve Stone called out Lou Piniella on June 9th. From June 10th through today, Colvin has started 30 games and has played in 39 overall. His line...

.238/.293/.485/.777, 9 HR, 37 K in 140 plate appearances

Colvin has been far from a star since that point in time.

You just knew that Colvin's stats were going to dip when he got full playing time. He can't hit lefties and his low OBP doesn't make sense in the leadoff spot. You'd rather hit Castro there and move Colvin down to 6th or 7th to split up that mess of right handed hitters in the middle of their lineup.
