Hopefully last night the Phillies were watching and are now committed to trading us Jayson Werth straight up for Bobby Jenks!

We can dream right?

Werth would be the perfect fit for this team. It'd mean a full time DH in Quentin with a plus outfielder in right with a great bat. Who also hits in the postseason.

The sox will never DH Quentin full time. On paper it's the best however Ozzie and other players have talked about how crazy he is in the dugout between at bats when he DHs. Theoretically, it's great but it's not practical because you would see a drop in his numbers.

His OPS this year when he plays RF: .818. When he DH's: .814.

I think I could live with that 0.004 decrease in OPS.

I dunno, it works if you only consider earned runs. I was just looking at Threets game log out of curiousity and happened to notice. Didn't really pay much attention to the original post

Well I kind of fudged it. I knew Thornton, Putz , Santos and Jenks were right. Threets has a 0.00 ERA in 7 appearances so I threw it in there . Impressive even if you take out Threets .

You were probably joking, but yeah, he's DH'ed probably at most 10 games, and it seemed like he DH'ed quite a few times when he was on his incredible tear.
