fathom
Wow....thanks Wilson. Time for the bullpen, but it might be bizarro bullpen with Pena, Linebrink, and Threets.

TomPickle
Capps a part of the Dunn deal if we give the DBacks Santos in a three team trade?
caulfield12
I hope that's the end of Garcia in this game with 5 IP, but Ozzie will probably let him start the 6th until he gives up a baserunner. For whatever you want to say about Freddy, he's probably the MVP of this team because of his pitching the first half keeping us from completely sinking. If you look at the money we spent on Andruw Jones and also Vizquel, you can't overstate how important each of them have been at different times this season, all for around, what, $3 million combined? fathom
Nice 0-3 for Kotsay, and even better is that he didn't hit anything hard, so we don't have to hear more excuses.
fathom
Castro better play sometime this week, as we face 3 LHP.
caulfield12
QUOTE (TomPickle @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Capps a part of the Dunn deal if we give the DBacks Santos in a three team trade? Would you really take him back? It would be a bit embarassing for the D-Backs to bring back Sergio now.

TomPickle
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) Would you really take him back? It would be a bit embarassing for the D-Backs to bring back Sergio now. I don't see how that's embarrassing in any way. He's an entirely different player now than the one they drafted. chw42
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) Wilson Ramos for Capps, it's official now. Capps will be there next year, I think he has an option. Still, not diggin' this from a Twins' point of view. But I like it when I don't dig things the Twins do. caulfield12
Well, a year ago, Wilson Ramos gets you a lot more. Actually, the Twins' bullpen was doing pretty well recently...I hope this is a case where the tinkering will mess up the roles of Rauch, Guerrier, Crain and Mijares... In hindsight, they should have held onto Breslow and Reyes IMO. Edited July 30, 2010 by caulfield12
chw42
Capps has no cheap option for next year. This deal sucks for the Twins. It wasn't their biggest need and they probably just gave away their best trade chip that they were willing to move.

caulfield12
Revere has struggled this year, right? I can't see any way they can afford to trade someone like Hicks or Gibson.
chw42
QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Good. Yes it is. Although if we planned to trade Flowers to the Nationals, they probably won't take him now. Nice going Omar.
