BigEdWalsh
QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 05:38 PM) A rally from Seattle would be nice here....but that request seems way too farfetched to come true... I have to agree with that. I'm here in Washington watching the game and rootin' for the (stinkin') Mariners.
fathom
QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 1, 2010 -> 12:41 AM) Jones is actually pretty good against lefties. The problem is more what Kotsay does against lefties. If you're going to cry, at least cry about the right things. Thing is, Jones is getting a ton of at bats vs righties. Basically 150 out of his 210 ABs have been against RHP this season. As we've talked about, it seems the sox misjudged Kotsay's ability to play the outfield. Yes, he has gotten quite a bit of ABs verses righties...so I guess he has a point...but tonight he's facing a lefty....which he has hit well against.... chw42
Danks had a Javy Vazquez-like start. It was one bad inning that did him in.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) Danks had a Javy Vazquez-like start. It was one bad inning that did him in. During the inning there were some well placed balls. Albeit, he wasn't as sharp as he's been the rest of this game, but he wasn't 4 run in an inning bad. Chisoxfn
Andruw crushed it. I was thinking he was going to homer.
Chisoxfn
I would not cut Andruw. He plays great defense, is a smart baserunner, and still can be a valuable PHer against LHPing. And that is despite him having a rought defensive night tonight and the fact the got picked off, lol.

TomPickle
Hopefully they take Braden out soon, as Konerko and Quentin have looked awful against him this game. If Teahen could come back on Wednesday it'd make it would make that double header a lot easier. Send down player X before the second game and call up Torres, the send down Torres and call up Teahen. southsidepride15
QUOTE (dielac @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) Hawk is killing the "don't stop now boys" He's said it atleast 20 times this week. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:34 PM) He says it anytime anyone reaches bases. It's really quite annoying. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 31, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) He's really getting on my last nerve. I used to think he was one of those guys that you would appreciate a lot more when he's gone. I'm not so sure anymore. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ He is so repetitive now it's sickening. I was at the game last night and just realized the best part was I got a night off from hearing him say stretch 14 times on a medium fly and just underneath it on any foul ball behind the plate between the corner bases. zenryan
Hey Hawk, both of the corners were crashing on the bunt and no one was covering second. Dropping the bunt and getting a double play would have been a longshot. Edited August 1, 2010 by zenryan
