BigSqwert
QUOTE (BFirebird @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 12:20 PM) Who the heck is Frazier for Detroit? I usually pride myself in knowing most of the players...but I honestly have no idea who he is. Recent call up. And our offense looks weak so far. BigSqwert
It's too bad I can't listen to Hawk praise Kotsay's at bats. Edited August 3, 2010 by BigSqwert
fathom
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 06:22 PM) Offense not looking very alive. Our hitters just don't seem confident at all on the road, as opposed to extreme confidence at the Cell. Also, the recent struggles of Rios and Quentin since the ASB don't help. BigSqwert
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) Our hitters just don't seem confident at all on the road, as opposed to extreme confidence at the Cell. Also, the recent struggles of Rios and Quentin since the ASB don't help. And Konerko's splits on the road have been night and day.
BFirebird
Kotsay with his usual rollover to the right side. How many times does Ozzie need to see this before he realizes he is no good?
fathom
BTW, Ozzie should have mixed the lineups up a little bit tonight. Assuming he benches Kotsay, Viciedo, and AJP in the 2nd game, we'll have a lineup full of righties (against a pitcher who's slider is much tougher on righty hitters). BigSqwert
QUOTE (BFirebird @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) Kotsay with his usual rollover to the right side. How many times does Ozzie need to see this before he realizes he is no good? It's only been four months. Give him another two.

BigSqwert
I see Boesch's numbers are coming down to earth. Wasn't he in the .330s not long ago?

To be honest, I didn't expect a regression to this degree either. At this pace, he's going to be a .280 hitter if he's lucky. I thought he was at least going to hit .290.
