It's sad that I would do anything for Sox to have the Orioles lineup.

I'm as unhappy about this game as anyone...but are you serious?

Have you paid any attention to their numbers?

The Sox have scored 100 more runs than the Orioles this season. The Orioles have the 2nd worst OPS in the AL, ahead of only Seattle. The Sox have an OBP more than 30 points higher than the O's and an OPS 50 points higher.

We've been talking all weekend how the Orioles main starting 9 on offense is just as talented as the Sox.

I'd take Roberts, Markakis, and Scott on this team in a second.

Yeah, and I think they'd be happy to take Quentin, Konerko, and Rios. Of course, no one would trade Roberts, Markakis, and Scott for Konerko, Quentin, and Rios.

Offensive talent...sorry, this was the argument we started on Friday on here. You're seeing a lot of the numbers for Orioles hitters improve as season goes on, especially Jones. It will be interesting to see if they add Dunn in the offseason like some suggest.

I was thinking about having them for free, hypothetically.

I'd take Wieters over AJP as well

At the price of Alexei, 2nd half Beckham, Quentin, Konerko, Pierre, Omar and Rios?

I know nobody likes Kotsay, but lets not get kaperbolic up in here.

Well, talent sure...Weiters is ridiculously talented, obviously, for example. I don't think anyone thought that after Markakis put up an .897 OPS as a 24 year old that he'd be down near .800 as a 26 year old with no obvious injury or reason.

Talent is a funny thing.

Kinda like we've seen with Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham?

Well obviously since AJ's been awful with the bats this year...but if you weren't comparing to AJ and you were talking about only this season, that .695 OPS isn't exactly something you'd call spectacular and a guy you'd think would put you over the hump right now.

Hawk b****ing about the zone. Based on what I have seen, I have no issues with the strike zone.

You should know by now if the Sox are losing the umpiring is an issue according to the White Sox TV booth. If they are winning, the umpires are doing a great job.

Markakis has been more disappointing since the start of '09 than just about anyone else I can think of.

He's still a very good player, but yeah, I would have expected him to be a guy who's OPSing .950 with 30 home runs by now.
