Dammit I want a freaking demoralizing blowout. I wanna put up about 20 runs on these bastards and shut them down. I mean like in May 2009 when they beat us 20-1. I wanna put that kind of ass whuppin on them.

Oh and a bench clearing brawl would be nice too.

This! Kill these muthaf@ckers! Let's go Freddy!

Garcia's on the mound, that one was expected.

Yeah and I get that, but having him catch the one game in the series we face a RHP doesn't make a lot of sense. I bet AJ faces both LHP now, or at least one, and he shouldn't face either. Kotsay hitting ahead of Alexei is bizarre as well, but the logic/Kotsay ship has long since sailed. Not much Ozzie can really do with this lineup though with the way it's hitting ATM, to be fair.

Don't mess with Ozzie and his incredible lineup making skills.

The scary thing? Castro has an .862 OPS against righties this season, which is also vastly better than AJ.

(it's 1.209 against lefties).

Oh I definitely knew that, which is why I'll almost never say a peep when Castro plays, because no playing time is too much for him right now when you look at how he and AJ are hitting. As a matter of fact, if I had faith Ozzie would play Castro all 3 games of this series, I wouldn't say a thing about him playing tonight. But I highly doubt he'll do that.

However, AJ happens to hit Baker at a .304 clip. Further, he tends to do well against MIN. I'd rather have seen AJ today.

Is anyone else way too excited about these games? I know it's not THAT important of a series, but I'm playoffs level nervous.

I've been nervous all day...I'm glad that these games mean something, two months ago no one could have thought that.

AJ has been horrible against the Twins in his career. .260/.288/.639, 4 HR, 21 RBI in 328 abs. Also, while his BA against Baker is good, he hasn't hit for any power whatsoever and he hasn't taken a walk against Baker so he really hasn't been that productive against him.
