Greg Hibbard
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 10:14 PM) Won't be easy against Liriano. 0-3, 7.50 ERA, 1.83 WHIP career at the cell. Edited August 12, 2010 by Greg Hibbard
RockRaines
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 09:00 AM) He's a 21 year old who's been in the U.S. for a year and a half and who hasn't faced anything close to MLB caliber pitching and scouting. Learning to make an adjustment is going to take him some time. That said...we don't have time to waste on developing anyone other than Kotsay while in this pennant race. Mark Teahen needs to be put back into the lineup at DH at some point in the near future. It will at least make the hole in the lineup a bit smaller. Balta1701
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 10:00 AM) 0-3, 7.50 ERA, 1.83 WHIP career at the cell. Those numbers are going to be dominated by the post-Tommy-John, still-not-recovered Liriano of 2007-2009.
elrockinMT
Saw the game on WGN. Great pitching dispaly by Danks and CQ hit the ball with authority. The twins were uncharacteristically sloppy in their defense, but the Sox would have beat them anyway. Loved it!
clyons
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 08:58 AM) And Dayan needs to make an adjustment at some point. He has zero pitch recognition and has a huge hole in his swing high and in. I'm starting to think its best for him and the short and long term future of the team for him to work on making these adjustments with more regular at bats in TripleA. He has a chance to be something, but isn't now. Ballsy performance last night by Danks. Lots of Twins really own him, but he manned up and battled, right when we needed him to. Balta1701
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 10:05 AM) I'm starting to think its best for him and the short and long term future of the team for him to work on making these adjustments with more regular at bats in TripleA. He has a chance to be something, but isn't now. If we weren't tied for first place...then leaving him in the big leagues and playing him regularly until he could learn to make adjustments would seem to be the right move...he's proven he's capable of hitting major league pitchers if they make mistakes to him or if they don't have a good plan...learning to beat them when they don't make a mistake is the next step. We just don't have the at bats to spare.

In 2005, 6IP, 4ER, 5H, 3BB, 6.00ERA, 1.33WHIP. In 2010, 6IP, 3ER, 4H, 5BB, 4.50ERA, 1.50WHIP.
