I'm not saying I necessarily agree, just throwing out a reason why the odds might be what they are.

They're not necessarily odds as in the gambling sense. Just the percentage of outcomes after 10K simulations.

It's really time to end the stupid Castro is Garcia's personal catcher thing. Not having him face Liriano, who is deadly on lefties, is just bad strategy.

Where the hell is the media on this? Why won't anyone ask Ozzie about this in his interviews? It's hurting the team. You telling me AJ can;t catch Freddy? Something he's done a million times before we acquired Castro.

I'm seeing a bomb from him tonight.

BY "bomb" do you mean "a terrible performance like we saw last night"

i.e. such that I can say "man, AJ totally bombed at the plate today".

Francisco Liriano has been a beast this season. Dude has a Curt Schilling like K-to-BB ratio of almost 4-to-1, damn near 10 strikeouts per 9 innings, only 2 HR allowed all season (both in the same game at Fenway Park), etc.

The crazy thing is that his BABIP is .350, which is 50 points worse than the league average. Kevin Slowey and Scott Baker also have crappy BABIPs of greater than .320.

The Twins defense is insanely overrated.

AJ has been playing because of the success he has calling games. I will bet though that he will add some offense to his repritore in this all important game.

I'm seeing a bomb from him tonight.

Liriano has not allowed an HR in 21 of 22 starts.

He'd probably have suicidal thoughts if AJ took him deep.

I still don't understand how AJ has regressed so much. It really seemed like he was figuring the game out last year, just calmly taking what the pitcher gave. Now we just see one long, hard swing after another. Him and Jones are about as close to guaranteed, unproductive outs as it gets.

I dont think its regression as much as mechanics. He doesnt seem to have the flexibility in his wrists through his swing like previous years. He is rolling over on everything. He reminds me of a guy who gets the hooks in golf.
