Oh boy, they have Konerko set up for the offspeed pitch.

What kind of offspeed pitch does Capps have? You would think if he had one he would have thrown it to Paulie. 7 fastballs in a row is usually not a winning game plan to Konerko.

Damn...of course. Konerko continues to just kill us in these games at Minnesota.

He has a home run tonight. Killing us.

Jackson's 3 starts have not been good enough for you?

TO THIS POINT, on August 17th, 2010, it has been a great trade. Jackson's 3 starts have been FAR better than the starts Hudson gave us before the trade. So yes, from the date of the trade to now, the trade has been great. What Hudson does to NL lineups is irrelevant.

Oh no I am not saying that. Jackson has been fantastic. But we have no idea what Hudson would have given us. If upgrading the #4 starter is not enough to make the playoffs than perhaps the trade wasn't the best use of our resources. If Hudson is as good or as close to as good as Jackson next year than Jackson is not worh $8,000,000 more. The money could have been used to upgrade another position that may have gotten us in the playoffs. Simply the fact that Jackson pitches well doesn't make it a great trade.

Paulie's AB right there might have been the tipping point of the season. That could have lit a fuse big time. If we lose this game after all that, it's curtains for 2010.

No way to know what happens from here, but the tipping point for the bad, so far, is Jenks' losing the last game last time we were here.
