macsandz
QUOTE (Real @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) You know how this story ends I do. I just don't know the gory details just yet.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) WHY WHY WHY WHY are you pitching Mauer away? Unreal. He should drill him and then stare at Delmon Young.
Harry Chappas
Not watching the game but following through Soxtalk....Cowley was on the SCORE recently and was talking about AJ having to think about this season and the Dye season last year where the Sox will not offer arb and no other team a is going to take a chance on him. I think the Sox oughta really platoon him and Castro this year and see how it goes. It could make AJ better and Castro is no worse than AJ and could be better. AJ knows a steep pay cut is in order and is playing like it. He should be batting ninth.

macsandz
What a ridiculous wormburner throw from Hardy there. The Sox look like they have no idea what Manship features.
Dick Allen
Its a good thing the ump blew the call at first or this game would be tied. Amazing Hawk doesn't bring it up.

fathom
One of the most common themes of Sox failures at Minnesota over the last 10 years or so is that even if a Twins starting pitcher struggles, the Twins long reliever always comes in and shuts the door on the Sox while the Twins get chance after chance to get back into the game. ThunderBolt
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) valencia > beckham? Valencia is a glorified singles hitter. Long-term, i'm taking Beckham every single time.
fathom
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 03:06 AM) Who would you rather see in a White Sox uniform right now... Albert or Mauer? Neither, both guys only play one position, which means they bring no versatility to the Sox. I'd rather have Felipe Lopez, who can play a few infield positions.
