fathom
I really hope Rios has an actual injury, and hasn't just hit the wall. He's not coming close to getting the bat through the zone quickly, and hasn't for over a month.

He's not coming close to getting the bat through the zone quickly, and hasn't for over a month. I thought he was hitting the ball hard again about 2 weeks ago. I seem to remember him hitting a few doubles into left...

I seem to remember him hitting a few doubles into left... I'll say this, he spoiled us with his line drive ability the first 3 months of the season. As consistent of a line drive hitter as I had ever seen.

We did get to Johan a few select times...I seem to remember a Garland-Santana matchup in Minny where we got Johan for 5 or 6 in the first few innings...seems like it was 2003 or so... chw42
Looks like the Twins are starting to change their approach up there a bit now. Last two balls in play have been liners.
dyuen
is kotsay a worse outfielder than Teahan? i thought his value was that he could at least play multiple positions (except DH)

Teahen actually looked pretty quick on Cuddyer's double. I've said this before, but I think management didn't evaluate Kotsay's ability to play the outfield well last season. They thought he could do it....but can't

chw42
That was the first inning they had any kind of a threat on Buehrle. Must get more runs to put game out of contention. Three here would be very nice. I think 7 runs is about the threshold where I would feel comfortable against the Twins team.
