Texsox
I haven't been able to follow a game for the past few weeks. I guess I picked a nice time.
EloyRedGloveSWAG
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) I'm sorry, but in the first game, there were two terrible managerial decisions made. Letting Kotsay hit vs a LHP in the 5th, and keeping Thornton in for a 3rd inning. I think leaving Gavin in the sixth or seventh whatever it was after he put the first two on with a one-run lead was worse than both of those. Harry Chappas
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) He's going to end up hitting .300 as bad as the Kotsay move was the Pierre move makes up for it somewhat All I want are fastball strikes who cares the result
hogan873
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) He'll probably end up with an OBP over .350 and 60+ stolen bases. He's just been great this year. Consider his miserable start and you realize just how good he's been since the beginning of June.

fathom
With any type of knee injury, it doesn't seem like we'll see Putz for a while. I guess Linebrink is the 2nd righty set-up man now after Santos?

Harry Chappas
This Jenks inning is why Putz should've started the 8th The Sox could really be tied by next Thursday if they get good pitching. I think the Sox will fare well at home against the O's and in KC and the Twins play the Halos and Rangers I believe

Chisoxfn
Hopefully Putz just tweaked it and came out because it was a big lead and he figured no need to push it.

fathom
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 02:45 AM) Hopefully Putz just tweaked it and came out because it was a big lead and he figured no need to push it. He couldn't push off his right leg, so the lack of velocity is worrisome.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Consider his miserable start and you realize just how good he's been since the beginning of June. .292/.364/.341 since May 1. We can obviously ignore the slugging percentage. And he's 38/49 in stolen base attempts in this span. Combine that with his great defense all year, and there's really nothing to complain about. Last time we played them at Kauffman they took two out of three. We don't seem to be playing all that well there. I'd be surprised if we sweep.
