I googled and got his fanhouse page. One of his articles near the top of the page is him popping off about MLB being too soft on violence. How is this coward going to be able to say anything again? Perhaps there is a God and he is making this clown's career go down the toilet. One can only hope although admitted wife beaters like Neil Steinberg still have a forum to pop off and judge people.

I am sure all he did was laugh as he always does throughout every single entire show. He is brutal radio right now and I dont know if it is just his age but he doesnt even share complete thoughts anymore. He just laughs and makes random comments that are really just a bunch of words that he put in a hat and pulled them out and whatever order they came out is how he says them along with grunts and sceeching.

Well, he does laugh and say funny things about 8%* of the time, but 92%* of his statements are factual, knowledgeable, and come from a perspective most of us drown out (60+ age). He is one of the few in his age range who seems to know how to speak to those of us still under the age of 30, and I seriously give him props for that.

 

The man, in my opinion (and that's all any of this is) contributes a lot more than for which you give him credit. His Style (funny) may be throwing you off, but if you listen to what he has to say, this is more than just an elderly buffoon comedian who could be replaced by a soundboard (to which allude). Your ability or the conscious decision you make to dislike his color of comedy, and other such things you decide to gather from the time you listen are completely up to you. I think that most who listen to Boers and Bernstein can hear within the first 5 minutes that your paragraph rant was (EDIT: 92%!!!!) inaccurate. Terry Boers is extremely knowledgeable, and I think he passes on his knowledge well, with some damn-hilarious comedy mixed in as well.

 

To each his own; I can understand not liking Terry Boers, but your review of him is just, well, inaccurate, in my humble opinion.

I listen to them everyday. Bernstein is one of the most intelligent guys on the radio (and he will let you know that much). Boers will have you believe he has this magical wisdom of sports knowledge that he has gained over his many years through his history of writing and earning his stripes through beat reporting and such. At one time I believe there was some great substance to what Terry had to say but it has dwindled into funny noises and arguments without facts to back them up. Most of the time he turns out to be wrong mind you. Within the past year I have seen many instances when a caller would challenge Terry on something he said and he had no answer but just re stating what he thinks is true.

 

I get their show. I get the theme of the show. Terry really should be one of the awkward callers that the show has so Bernsy could belittle him and make fun of.
